    We are just headed out on a W-A-L-K now, and I am taking my camera with me.

    We made lots of PROGRESS today. We had some freinds over for lunch. Lots of opportunity for socialization. He did awesome -- no cowering or hiding! Yay, Emmers! He got quite active and excited, too, acting much more like a puppy.

    One bad thing is that because he was crate trained, he will NOT pee. He has only peed twice since we brought him home yesterday, and I'm getting a little concerned. I don't think it's very healthy to only pee twice in 24 hours. But I will monitor him closely and I will mention it to the vet next week.

    What a story! I am so glad it had such a happy ending.

    Congratulations on your new addition. He is absolutely gorgeous! I just know that the whole socialization/shyness thing will work itself out with such loving owners as you and your husband. Good luck!

    oh my goodness!! just found the link to this thread from the one in dog general. what an amazing story!!!! I am so happy for you, Emerson is SO ADORABLE! I am sure you guys will have no problems turning him around and helping him feel comfortable letting his true personality show through. All he needs is a little love and guidance and his confidence will boost right up! I cant wait for more pics!!!
