Come on, Eddie, come out come out wherever you are!![]()
Have you found him yet? Hopefully he doesn't make himself too scarce. He is a little shy, so if he hasn't come out yet, if you sit quietly on the floor and call to him, he might come out. Worked for me anyway.
In my opinion this
Meanwhile...Edwina is refusing to acknowledge anything unusual going on.....
is the best news yet! If she is just going about her daily business, she must not be bothered by the fact that there is another cat living in her basement.![]()
Sara seemed a little embarrassed by the dust bunnies, but I think it's cute when kitties have cobwebs and dust bunnies stuck to their whiskers. Sometimes Tubby will come up from the basement with spiderwebs stuck to his whiskers, and I just laugh and ask him what sorts of goodies he found down there.![]()
And Edwina is even cuter in person - even when she's hissing and shooting daggers from her eyes.I was holding Eduardo in the carrier and Sara picked up Edwina to see what kind of reaction she'd have. Nothing at first, but then all of a sudden the hissing and growling started. After that, even though Eduardo was safe in the basement, I think Edwina still associated me with him and that's why she hissed. She's so cute with her little harness on, with the bell on it that tinkles everytime she moves. I could here her tinkling on over to where we were standing when I first got there.

And as long as Edwina allows it, the only problem I could see having Eduardo there is that he might not know how to act in such fine surroundings! I'm sure it was probably art students that had him before (there's a lot of them in my neighborhood at work) so I'm sure his dwellings were typical grungy student apartment style, then he was in the alley, so a lovely house with a beautiful backyard and screen porch might be beyond his compression right now.![]()
I'll be checking back tomorrow sometime, so I hope he appears and everything starts going a little more smoothly. Sara, you just gotta remember that he's shy and probably still scared, so patience and slow quiet movements are best right now until he gets a little more familiar with you, Don, Edwina and his surroundings. Good luck and Eddie....BEHAVE!
