I would dearly love to make a surprise entrance on the pet talk meeting, but it just a bit too far for me to drive (and return) in a day. But I hope you all have the best time and think of me because I will be thiunking of all of you.

    Hi Everybody,

I have bad news! I can't make it tomorrow. I have a 6 week old male kitten I named Spike that I took home from the shelter today.

The woman who runs the nursery asked me if I would consider fostering him till he gained weight. He's VERY thin, tiny, doesn't eat alot (although he does eat on his own) and has diarrhea real bad. Kathy needed a break (she was taking him home at night). He's now in a carrier with a heating pad. I've been pumping him with Pepto Bismal to stop the diarrhea and Pedialite for dehydration. Because the shelter is closed till Tuesday, he's with me for the duration. If the diarrhea keeps up, he'll have to be given subcue fluids.

His sister is also in the nursery and thriving. I have a feeling this little guy is the runt of the litter and might not make it.

So, in the name of rescue, I'm going to have to pass tomorrow. I hope there will be another Pet Talk reunion in a couple of months (maybe in July when my daughter is here for a visit??)

Have a great time everybody. Please take lots of pictures, give tons of smooches to all the pooches and think of me. I hope you guys understand.

Rest In Peace Casey (Bubba Dude) Your paw print will remain on my heart forever. 12/02
Mollie Rose, you were there for me through good times and in bad, from the beginning.Your passing will leave a hole in my heart. We will be together "One Fine Day". 1994-2009

There's going to be a surprise doggie in attendance tomorrow!

    Guess who?????

    That's right, Angus!

We know he wouldn't get along with the other dogs, but we seen no reason to exclude him because of that, because he just adores humans
So between Mark & I (and anyone else who would like to volunteer ) we thought we'd take turns watching him.

Sorry you won't be able to make it this time Donna, but duty calls and we understand. I sure hope this kitty can make a turn for the better. Hopefully we'll see you next time around
We can stop by the grocery tomorrow morning and pick up some hamburgers and buns. Oh, does anyone know if someone is bringing cups?
    See you all tomorrow!

donna--how wonderful of you to take in this little guy--I hope he does well
Once again, I'm jealous--sounds like a great time will be had!!! I can't wait to see the pics!!!!

Maybe next time I can find some one (ahem, Lisa), and we'll load up all of the dogs and take the long trip

Anna--I know how you feel with Angus--Kito isn't the biggest fan of other dogs either--I'm glad he gets to go anyway, I'm sure you all can keep a good eye on him!!!
