I'm sorry to hear that Minette lost the other babies but I'm glad that Minette and her little black meezer baby seem to be doing fine.
You should look up threads by rg-girlca and emilysgk for pictures of the momcats and kittens they raised.
Rg-girlca's rescue girl Sweetpea lost 4 out of 5 kittens but the 5th kitten grew up to be a healthy and adorable cat named Peapod.
Emilysgk's black kitty Snow had to have a c-section delivery like Minette, she had 3 kittens but lost the runt. I think she had to help bottle feed the other two kittens at first but they both survived and are two cute little calico girls now.
Please keep up posted with pictures as the little black kitten grows.
Have you decided on a name yet?
Do you know if it's a boy or girl yet?
    RIP sweet Samantha

    Open wide eyes

    That was on Saturday.

And we think is a HE !!!

    BTW how about a name?
Have you decided on a name yet?
No name, if I give him a name I'm lost and couldn't be able to part with him anymore! Meanwhile he is "el Petit" (The little one) wich he is

I am so glad to see that Minette is fine and that she nurses the baby That is the best outcome for both of them
It will be so much better for the baby to be nursed by Mom - and a lot easier on you too, for sure
Firts day they didn't how to and Minette looked for my help every time the baby was hungry if I wasn't there then she looked for my partner.Smart girl! While I was bottle feeding him , she nudged my hand and licking the baby purring and purring. She was so grateful that she wouldn't leave our side.

Now, she has become quite protective of her baby and that's fine with me.Is mother nature.

Vermoncat: Yes, I remember rg-girlca babies I just hope I can find a worderful home for them as she did.

    EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! SO CUTE AND WONDERFUL!

    Eyes open and everything!

Oh, this baby is going to be ok, you can tell.

Minette sounds like a momcat that cares about her baby AND her owners - she was so happy you were helping! What a loving, trusting little cat after all that happened to her.

I too hope they find a wonderful home. It would be nice if they went together.

I love your big eyes, El Petit!

Oh, that picture just melts my heart. Look at those little whiskers on his chinny chin chin!

Name, or no name, I would not be able to give him up. How about Miracle as his name?

Don't want to be pushy or anything. heh heh!

What a wonderful thing you are doing - every single one of us loves you for it too.

El Petit! Look at those CLAWS! I didn't know widdle baby kitties had such serious claws. Grow strong and healthy, little one.

Some friends of mine have a cat they call Petit Noir. I'm sure they wouldn't mind you giving the baby that name. Or for that matter, Pequen~o Negro or Kleine Schwartze.

I have a hand puppet black kitten who is called "Black Kitten" Sounds as exotic in German as "Kleine Schwarze" in English

I always thought he was a boy. Why not call him Nero He'll be a king anyway

    We have a guest

Kittens must be born knowing how to be little heart thieves, this little one sure has stolen mine! He's looking great... growing, gaining weight, eyes wide open, and I think I see a hint of mischief on his sweet little face. I'm so happy that Minette bonded with her baby and is doing a great job in her role as mommycat. One thing is for sure here, there's no shortage of love for the little guy by Minette and you. He's going to be just fine!!!

I'm not sure "enlightened" is the first concept he brings to mind but he sure looks serene!
