Oh Tonya! ((((HUGS)))) for you and family. My step Dad committed suicide and I know how hard that is on the ones they leave behind. The guilt you are left with is so heavy. Just remember this, if that is what he wanted to do, nothing anyone could have done would have stopped him. I intervened with my step Dad and got him help but he STILL did it 6 weeks later. It is NO ONES fault and there was NOTHING anyone could have done to prevent this!

They are ill when they do this and I believe God does not hold it against them and they are let into heaven dispite this last mistake.

Thank you. My father also commited suicide. The exact same circumstances and exact same way except it was 26 years ago this Mother's day. I believe that God doesn't hold it against them also.

Does anyone have any scripture that supports this or any thing that could help my husband and his family? I've read some helpful verses before but my mind is to blank to find them.

I don't know of anything in the bible that says anything about God's forgiveness for taking ones own life.. I just know He is a God of Love and Forgiveness and he can not hold this act against someone who is not in their right mind or has a mind that is sick.

People in their right minds would consider all the aspects of what they are thinking and would NOT do this.

Some people get so very overwhelmed with life's sadness that the depression is unbearable.Usually not enough to take their own life but it is so sad that he was so sad to do this.I'm so sorry again.This is so sad.
