Ok, wood is chopped and brought inside. Fire's lit.
Tables wiped off and dirty glasses cleaned.
Kitchen floor swept and counters cleaned off.
I think that odda to it for the evening crowd.

    Now, on with the drinks.
Christa, here's your strawberry daiquiri with umbrella.
Debbie, you didn't order anything so here's a nikked beer to see you through those chapters.
Captain, always nice to see you here. SD DONE!
Gini: you didn't order anything either, so here's your slushie!
David and Donna: well....I'm not going there.

    DONE!

On with the food. Hot dip with one variation. Shrimp instead of crab. MMMMM good.
    BBQ chicken wings.
Zucchini cakes (same as potato pancakes except made with shredded zucchini) with sour cream and all fixin's

    Enough???

Now I've got a hankerin to hose off some picnic tables. The fun never stops.....

Wow, Slick! <pats couch next to me> Here sit down and relax for a minute. The fire's going good and everything's cleaner than it's been in weeks, so why not join us and enjoy the fire. Sheesh, I had no idea you had to actually cutthe wood, why didn't you say something, I would've helped. I'm an expert at wood cutting. I think I've mentioned this before, but cutting down trees and chopping wood is what my dad does for fun, so I grew up cutting wood. We each even had our own appropriately sized axes! (picture a 7 year old, a 10 year old and a 12 year old with an ax - 2 brothers and one sister[me] and you've got the right picture in your head - amazing all three of us are still around to tell these stories.)

I just smooched Peanut for you, she's being a good little tutor again. I think she likes the heat from the lamp. Tubby's snoring away in his little bed. I'll give him a smooch too when I get up.

Mario, can you please put another quarter in the juke box please? I think the Tim McGraw songs have run out, what else is on that juke box?

OMG Debbie, I had my own axe growing up too and it's still in Mom's basement! My parents started taking us camping when we could barely walk and chopping wood was the first thing I learned (aside from "don't play with matches").

**plunk** Thanks for the seat. I just like to make sure everyone is happy.

Thanks for smooching the Princess Peanut. Don't forget Tubby, but wait until he wakes up. I can hear him snore from here.

MARIO, GET AWAY FROM THOSE CHERRIES! YOU KNOW WHAT THEY DO TO YOU!!!

Well, homework is handed in so all I have to do is check in one more time tomorrow and I'm done with school until I take my final next week. Works out good because I'll take the final on Tuesday and then I won't have to worry about school again until I get back, so it's a true vacation - yipppeee!!!!

Slick, I can't believe you had your own ax too! I thought we were the only kids in the world with our own axes. They were put to good use and then - thankfully - my dad made a wood splitter which was soooo much easier than chopping. But then of course he could make more wood faster, and who had to haul it all? Yep, you got it.

Here, have another nekkid beer and tell me more stories. However, don't feel slighted if I doze off, it's been a long day....

Oh, oh, Mario didn't listen and he's in the cherries again - quick, somebody, take the chandelier down before he starts swinging on it again and slopping those cherries all over Slick's clean bar!

Would love to sit and tell stories Debbie, but it must be bedtime for you about now. Sleep well my friend and hopefully you will check in tomorrow before you leave for vacation.

Well I think I might be able to sleep now. Just took a nice warm bath and had a real live beer (not cyber and not nekkid, unfortunately), so I'm off to see if the sandman comes. This only happens like two or three nights a month for me, so it's really not a problem, but it sure makes me sympathize with those who do have a real problem.

Tubby is now curled up on his daddy's clothes (which happen to be laying on the floor in the bathroom since he took a hot tub before me and didn't pick them up afterwards ). Peanut came barging in a bit ago, but evidently decided it was bedtime since that's where she is now. She's such a cutie.

So I'm off. Slick, please give big hugs and smoochies to Speckles and Max for me and I will definitely check in tomorrow.

    G'nite everybody.

I don't know the names of any pretty and fruity drinks, but they always come with an umbrella, don't they?

    Mmmm.....crab dip....

Here Slick, I found some of that apple wood that Laurie (I think it was her) brought in a few weeks ago. Really makes the place smell nice.

No problem David, as long as there's no hanky panky going on. This is a family bar after all.....sometimes.
Yes, I know this is a family bar, but we are just back here holding hands and listening to music. I don't want to lead Mario down the wrong path!

Well I guess I'm 'bout fine as frogs hair Richard, thanks for thunkin' of me. Speaking of frogs... how's Sipowitz? And where is Willie? Unless she sees for herself she just might believe who know what about what Mario tells her about what's going on in that corner Good snack-a-roo's Slick, anyone up for breakfast? Bloodies are always a good wake-me-up while I get the griddle going. HI LOGAN! One jar Bloodies and a pitcher of Mimosa's (just for us Logan). How about some of those Chesapeake Bay crab eggs benedict that we had some time ago? We can sit on the veranda and wait for the West Coast lazy bones to wake up Did you find that stash of apple wood T&P's Mom? I put it under the back porch to keep it dry.

Good morning Laurie. Jeez it's not even 6am here and you've started the partee already. Give me time to wipe away the sleep and I'll be right with ya sister.

Bloodies and breakfast, now there a combo that sounds good. (or is it Bloodie Breakfast) Yup, we had a great fire last night from the apple wood out back. Gee it sure makes the room smell good.

Fine as frog's hair That was my Dad's favourite saying.

From what you've said about your Dad Slick, I would say I'm in fine company! Don't even try to wake Gini, last time I did (was that last Friday?) she threw a shoe at me

Actually, I went back to bed for another half hour thinking maybe I could sleep. Silly me.
Yeah David and Donna had a smoochfest in the corner last night. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for it but not in a public place but I guess you can't stop love.
Hee Hee, I don't think Gini even opens her eyes before 7am.
