BM, thats the samething that my dad & my Bankruptcy lady said.

Last Sunday my friends made me feel like a million dollars(even though they only spent 10.00 on me) when it felt like the world was ending. Every since then I got use to the idea that I'll no longer have any possessions, but who needs things when I have awesome friends. Sure I want my things, but I gave up caring too much about it... Luckly Chad's freaky mental issues have calmed down.. I have almost ALL my things out of his place.. tonight will be the last of the things I have to take from his place... Hes still willing to give me all my belongings out of the storage unit...

Do you have any idea how hard it is for me to pretend to be his buddy!!! Its KILLING me, talking all friendly with him & having to talk to him on the phone about anything... Yesterday he called me 5 times at work to talk.. hes called me 3 times just this morning.

I'm gonna keep bitting my tongue until I have all my things. Then I'm gonna end things as civil as I can... there will be no more calling me, no more nothing...

What you need to do is once you have all of your stuff back just kindly tell him that he has violated ALL of your trust and quite frankly, your shocked at him. Tell him that there is no way that you guys can go on pretending like nothing happened, because it hurt you so much inside.

Thats what I want to do.. I want to keep it civil so I don't make him mad, cause like I said before, I cannot risk my car... I need that car to live.

I spent an hour with him today (my lunch hour) & we got to the topic of Axle... I told him it doesn't matter if my new place allows the turtle or not.. Axle has been sentenced to death... I told you before Axle doesn't get any chances. ANY complaint against him is an instant death sentence (he has NO idea I'm fighing for Axle, I wanted to make him feel guilty for risking Axles life!!!! & if I do loose Axle I want him to know its his fault!)... It was crazy hard to spend buddy buddy time with Chad... OMG I wanted to jump out the window I hated it so much... But I need to play things cool, as I want my things.

I know it's not the same situation but i kind of know how it feels. It's like when my parents got their divorce and end up putting me in the middle of it. ...and my dad was selling off all the stuff the court ordered him to give back to my mom. Some stuff were treasured trinkets that meant the world to me that i had hoped to inherit some day. ...That wasn't the worst part though. Not even close. Two people i have loved, trusted, and cherished my whole life had changed into horrible psychos with in a couple years time. My life was torn apart. When my mom snapped i lost one of my best friends, my trust in her had forever been swept away.

And yes, to keep things civil, and to try and get some of the object that held fond memories of a better time I did my best to keep my temper with them. I took their phone calls. Sometimes i had to lie about things i knew. I hated it. And they'd try to get all this info from me (mostly it was my father..) and at the end of the phone calls they'd try to let me know how much they love and cherish me. (Really? Well then why are you acting like you are and being manipulative? was what i was thinking.) In the very least i found their behavior disrespectful. ...that's as light as i can put it.

But yes... I understand (i think). Pretending to be something you're not because you have next to no choice if you want things to go even slightly in your favor... sucks horribly!!!

My parents divorce turned into WW3 but of a different kind... My dad was civil 100% as he refused to bring any extra stress onto his kids... However my mother wanted to destroy my dad for whatever reason... I was 13 & my sister was 9.. my sister & I went through hell & back.. my mom & counclers tried to force us to say our dad was touching us
