I always say a collective prayer every night for everyone on PT. I love you all like family. I'm happy when you are and devastated when sadness and dispair enter your life. I may not always comment because I just can't find the words.Anyway, I wanted you all to know that John didn't get the job he wanted and was 1st on their list to get. Apparently, they thought he'd be bored because of his experience and credentials. It wasn;'t even the low pay, he'd take anything right now. I think they may be afraid he'd "take over" their small IT department. But they said they'd call if they need him for contract work. He wants to stay in this area because of me, otherwise we'd move to the west coast or eastern pacific area where he lived and worked his whole life. All my friends and family are here and right now, I'm not in an emotional state of mind to move. Anyway, he's still job hunting..so we'll see what happens. Thanks again for all your prayers. It wasn't meant to be, poor guy.

This is a great thread! I will pray for each and every one of your requests - and no one should feel in the least bit selfish. Just remember, God does things in His own time, as frustrating as that can be to us sometimes!

I might as well add my request. My sister is married to a horrible 'man' who verbally and emotionally abuses her. I have never really discussed that here before, but I feel comfortable enough with all of you to do so now. Please keep her in your prayers as well.

Oh no! Why does Michael need surgery? Prayers going out that he's soon better and back at home where he belongs!

    Prayers, pleaser!

This is from one of the radio hosts that I have worked with many times, Annie, and she has become a dear friend:

Please send you very best healing thoughts for Luke, our wonderful Cavalier. He is seriously ill with hemolytic anemia and killing his own blood cells off . His chances are 50/50. We are using all our skills and knowledge and making use of conventional and alternative therapies. Still waggin his tail even though he is close to needing a blood transfusion.
Her husband and she have a veterinary practice, so Luke is in the best of hands, but I told her I would enlist the Pet Talk Prayer Pawtrol for little Luke!

I could use some of those amazing PT Prayers if anyone has some extras just laying around. I'll be having an MRI on my knee this Friday, which will determine whether I will need a partial knee replacement. Yes - they can do partials in some cases. I will have the results the following Tuesday. Please send some good vibes - for an easy solution - and no surgery please. Thanks everyone.

Prayers please for a local family. Their dog Nora was hit by a car, and ran into the woods. The person who hit her stopped and told the family. She is only three, but has medical issues before L & C adopted her. Kermit and a friend were out calling for her, and walking through the woods looking for her, and encountered others doing the same. We hope she is found and is not badly injured. She is terrified of the vet, and hates car rides, so L is hoping nobody like a tourist saw her and picked her up, thinking they were doing a kindness.

Prayers that she is found, please.

And prayers for all the farmers in Nebraska facing those devastating floods.

Please pray for our neighbor Dick J, a spry elderly man. He had not collected his mail for a couple days, so Norm, my coworker who is the letter carrier here, called in a wellness check. When I passed his house earlier today, there was a state police truck, and an ambulance. I saw an EMT carrying a pillow and other things headed for the woods behind the house, and have heard nothing since. But I figure he must be alive, but perhaps injured - dead folks do not need pillows, right?

Please prayer for me, in dealing with being disappointed in people. I do not mean to find fault, but missteps by a younger man meant a fairly new, very frail member of the community named Donna (cancer survivor, with lingering frailty) almost went without food. I was able to help her, by the grace of God.

A worrisome situation in our immediate vicinity is a man who threatened to shoot our dogs if he caught them on his property again. Dusky is the sweetest pup, but he is black - literally, and we think the man is afraid of him because of that. He told Kermit Dusky "had him cornered in his garage," which is so totally against Dusky's whole personality - he likely ran up to him to say hello. We do let the dogs out loose to keep predators away from our animals, and they do a great job, but sometimes then go off visiting folks.

A woman we met because of our dogs, who adores them, and even sometimes keeps them overnight - with permission - is diagnosed with breast cancer, and undergoing radiation therapy. Our families have become friends because of our dogs, since Sue's diagnosis, Dusky feels the need to be over there, and has whined when we pass her house when he's in the car. She lives in Connecticut, but her family has a place up here, and they come up as often as they can. So please prayer for Sue, and her family as well.

Dick is alive and well enough to be asking about his cat. He was discovered, hypothermic and unresponsive, taken to the local hospital and medflighted over to a bigger hospital in New Hampshire. But because of Norm's actions he is alive and recovering.

So folks, check on elderly friends and neighbors, please! It could save an important life!
