    6 more sleeps for me.

Catland, I'm with you. Tuesday night I probably won't sleep a wink, worrying about missing my alarm.

Gini, please do me a favour...

When you see them, please give them a hug from me. The only time I will get to see them is the day of the BBQ and it will be a busy day. Thanks.

    All my bags are packed
    I’m ready to go
I’m standin’ here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

...well, one bag is packed anyway. Just have a couple more things to get for my **ahem** costume and I'm done. Woke up this morning with a really bad sore throat and cold so I hope it's not going to last. Guess I'd better get some drugs today....

    Coffee anyone?

Earlier I promised that I would be bringing some coffee with me. I wish I had more to offer but when I went to visit my sister two months ago, I ended up giving her 9 lbs!

Right now I have two lbs of Breakfast blend, one is claimed by Tonya (Zippy) Any takers for the other?

I have a pound of Colombia Narino Supremo which is my favorite mild coffee. It's still flavorful yet not overpowering.

Gini, I'm not sure if you are a coffee drinker but I have a really nice bag of Guatelamlan that was only offered for a short time, it's a nice smooth coffee goes great with caramel or chocolate.

I also have some Viennese blend which is a blend of Latin American beans, very smooth and rich.

I also still have two more markouts avaliable before I head up there. So if you have a favorite let me know and I will be sure to get it for you.

The reason why I'm asking ahead of time is so that if you need it ground you can tell me what kind of filter you are using so I can get it to the proper grind. If not then I'll bring them whole bean and any local Starbucks will grind them for free.
    I've been Defrosted!

Thanks for the great signature Kay!

Laura, what a nice thing to do. Unfortunately I'm not a coffee drinker at all. I am, however, addicted to Iced Capps......Really looking forward to meeting you.

I've just gotten back from the last of my shopping. There's nothing more for me to do now except stay home for the next 3 days, houseclean and pack. YIPPEE!!! 4 more sleeps.

I just finished packing. Still need to clean.

I'm a little nervous, since I haven't been on a plane for 15 years. And I'm not too keen about changing planes in DC. Maybe I should spend some time at Thursdays on Wednesday AND Thursday!

I can only hope all planes are on time and so am I.

Oops, no costume in that carry-on. Will jammys do?

Does anyone have a weather forecast? We are having extreme humidity here. Anything under 95 degrees and 78% humidity would be heaven.

No quakes, floods or fires in LA? About time!

Not sure for exactly when you'll be arriving, but right now its 88.8 F and 35% Humidity.

Should be beautiful this time next week!

    Can't wait to meet everyone!!!

Posted this in the Thursday thread, and should probably post it in General....

I've actually been thinking about getting a webcam and setting it up so those who can't come can be there virtually. The only problem is....I should have thought about this 3 months ago! Does anybody know anything about webcams and how to use them? I would need to set it up so others would be able to access a website in order to see the action, wouldn't I? I need to do some research - fast!

If anybody knows anything about any of this, please let me know. If I can pull it off in 3 days, I'll do it!

    88.8 with 35% humidity sounds absolutley be-u-tee-ful!!! Can't wait!!!
