Momo, please forgive me...for today has not been a good day. I was told there would be days like this but I never suspected it could be this bad. The pain is almost unbearable today and I think it's because I rolled over on my right side during the night last night. Heck, I don't remember doing it.... but my body is telling a different story. I have some extra pillows that I will use tonight to prevent this from happening again. The pain meds have helped a little bit.

I know that I owe so many of you some thank you emails and phone calls but I just don't have the energy for it today. The support you all have given me is truly overwhelming and I have to admit that I just can't keep up. So for today, I turn my focus to Val and Duke along with Lori who is having sir-jury tomorrow. Let's pray for them, OK??
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Slick, I knew all along that you were going through the wringer, I didn't post a reply, ( but, I was glad that you did)

Ya, Like Mama said, There'll Be Days Like This!!!!

It's your nature , to think about Duke, and~~ to remember that Lori is having that surgery tommorrow!!!

You don't have to reply to the e-mails, the cards, etc. OKAY?

Just know that WE CARE!!!! Extra Pet Talk Pillows will do the trick!!!

We'll Pray for Duke to feel better , and , for Lori to recover and to be waited on when she returns home!!!

We'll Pray, as well, for you!!!!

Rest and relax if you can. I couldn't imagine any one of us was sitting by their mail box or email box waiting for a thank you.

You have had MAJOR surgery - they didn't keep you in the hospital for ten days for nothing!

All I can pray for is that the pain meds work and you can have a better restful night tonight.

I know that I speak for everyone when I say that we sure would love to take these painful days away from you.

    xxoo me

Welcome home Slick! I haven't had the chance to post, but I did check in to make sure you were home safe and sound. It's got to feel great sleeping in your own bed and being able to take a shower. Get some rest and hopefully those pain meds and some sleep will do their job and tomorrow will be one of the good days.

    HI, Slick!

It's a little early to be wakin up now ...
but when you do - Hope maybe the SunBall is shining and
    you feel a bit better.

Did the Pillow Prop keep you in position for painfree sleep?
Maybe "borrow" some extra Kats to spread around the BigBed to hold you in.

    FEEL Better Soon!

So sorry you're having pain issues. Damn, if I could take it away from you for even just an hour I'd do it. Relax, rest and recover. Don't do too much too soon or your recovery will take that much longer. You're not superwoman and you don't have to pretend to be. Take it easy dear.

Slick, you've been through a lot, but I really hope the bad days will turn to good days soon. It's awful to be in pain and I'm SO sorry to hear it. Not sleeping well makes it worse of course.

Sending lots of hugs - and Fister is purring for you!

Hey Slick. I hope you're feeling much better today. May the pain get less and less every day. I know you'll be glad when you're well and can enjoy life again. I hope that's really soon for you.
