Yes Wyatt is a prairie Dog. They're a rodent and are closely related to the common grey squirrel. I don't know what "daisies in So. Africa" are. I'll have to look into it. He is such a wonderful little guy. Altho he is so very active he is also very cuddly.Originally posted by koxka

Izzy was a rescue and we have been truely blessed as we couldn't have asked for a more gentle iguana. He is my husband, Justin's, special baby. I'll try to make a long story short... Justin had an iguana when he was a teenager, but had to give him up when his family lost their home. (They were homeless for a few years.) Helping homeless and unwanted animals became very important to him after that. (That's one thing that drew us together.) Izzy will always hold a little extra special place in Justin's heart because of that.
I spell it wrong , the real name are Dassies, saw them at Table Mountain (Cape Town) and they loved sunbasking, on top the hot rocks, some of them were quite friendly with the turist that gave them food.
