It's kinda like I said earlier and as Cataholic put it. It's nice to sometimes have a day set aside to celebrate specific things, it's not saying we should only show love once a year on Valentine's Day. A lot of us here celebrate birthdays for those we love and it doesn't mean we only appreciate them on that day. Having an actual day set aside to celebrate something just means we especially gather and celebrate it as a community, at least I think that is the idea behind holidays. We also don't NEED Thanksgiving or Halloween or St. Patrick's day etc etc. Those days all mean something different to different individuals, but we share in common recognizing it as a community and as a society on that particular day.
I also understand feeling down on some holidays because of feeling lonely or feeling left out too, but that also doesn't make the holiday stupid or pointless, that's all I'm saying![]()
