Camp Vermont / Juni Rose arrived!

Looks like the littlest camper is taking over. I just hope that Miley will adjust soon. Can't wait for pics.

You know, when I got Miley and Graemer, the breeder mentioned that they were cats that complimented each other...Graemer being the wild and wooly cat and Miley being the timid, reserved cat. It just so happens that Miley's support system aka Graemer, left her fend for herself in the cat world and I think it will take her some time (if at all) to gather up the nerve to be friendly with another cat. It took her months to feel comfortable around Gabe, and Gabe was very gentle and unassuming with her. So, now that Ti has a vent (poor Juni)...maybe he will leave her alone and not torture her so. Maybe not. Ti seemed much less vocal this morning when he saw that Juni was around to distract him. He usually sits and cries at the bedroom door, for me to come play..... I let him come in (after Miley was put in the computer room) and he was in and out of the bedroom all night, checking on us. He seems much happier having a playmate....another cat....to bat things around with....to run with....to chase....to swat at....and hopefully not eat. Since Miley never came up with bite marks, I can only assume that when she and Ti tangled, it was for effect that Miley screamed and yowled.....and Ti really would scare the poop right out of her.........

I hope all this changes. I need a positive change. Right!

Absolutely, and you have a great big contingent of folks out here who care about you and all three of those furry ones!!! We HOPE for positive things, Sallyanne!!!! Or at least some peaceful resolution. There isn't "love" in my house, between cats, but they have found a way to coexist, somehow. I wish the same for you!!! No more closed doors!!!!

Sas, I have only had time to read the news hastily, but it sounds promising, don't you think! It's so great that Miley is not afraid of June and I'm sure Ti will enjoy a new playmate. In a week or two they'll hopefully be lounging around!

I also hope that Miley can adjust a little once she sees that nobody asks her to play, chase etc. Miley is one of my PT favorites. I just love her and want her to be happy. I wonder whether you can't try to keep the 2 girls in your bed -I am sorry of Miley being alone in the computer room?

I can't think of Ti hurting Juni Rose. He may play rough but I told you before that Filou had a Bengal friend when he was a baby kitten. This adult Bengal used to play ball with Filou (Filou was the ball) but they were best buddies. The breeder at that time wanted to give us the Bengal too but he was not a good friend of humans and didn't want to be petted, this was why we started to look for another cat -which was Tigris.

Anxiously waiting for more information.

Well, as one might suspect, Miley is the lone holdout. She came to bed last night, sniffed around, spied the kitten and took off to the closet!

I let Ti and Juni play all day, so they are both tired at night now. Miley stays by herself all day then has the option at night to come into bed with Juni and me. Ti sleeps in the other part of the house and I let him in early in the morning. That way Miley can roam at will - but it seems she will take a long time to warm up.\

So, right now, I have two happy cats and one unhappy cat. I am rather pleased that Ti and Juni are getting along nicely.

I did take one quick photo this morning, of Ti and Juni but didn't have time to d/l it to the net, so I will do that tonight.

I hope Miley gets with the program soon. I am really thinking about giving her some sort of drug to relax her.....

So all is quiet at Camp Vermont. Just one unhappy camper!

Phew! Great news! I am so glad that you decided to let Ti hang around for the introduction to Ms. Juni. Who woulda thunk? Oh I have a good feeling about your new trio. I have my fingers crossed but I definitely think all is going to eventually be just fine. We'll be tuning in for the promised picture and any more that you might like to post!! Welcome, little Juni Rose, peacemaker at Camp Vermont!! You are quite the girl!

Sallyanne, I'm so glad to hear that Ti and Juni are getting along. I had a feeling that they would. I'm sure that in time and maybe with a little help from a relaxing drug that Miley will eventually come around and learn to accept her new brother and sister. I can't wait to see some pics of Ti and Juni together.

First, she's a total cutie! I've never seen a baby Aby, so this is very cool for me!

Second, I think Juni is a wonderful thing for your home right now. It'll get Ti's mind of Miley and Ti and Juni can be buddies.

I'm happy/excitied for you!!! I'm also glad I found this thread over here....she's just too cute to miss!!
