Bandit

This is nerve-wracking. The surgeon is only there one day a week and Bandit was added to his load as a favor to the cardiac specialist. The surgeon has a full load of operations today. He has not gotten to Bandit yet. I am ready to explode!!!!!! Bandit is resting comfortably, waiting. The surgery will be today, I don't know how late. I will keep you posted. I am sick to my stomach with worry....

It is almost 10:30 here and I haven't heard anything since 5:00. They are open 24/7, but I wish I knew if he was in surgery or not. I'm waiting for my Mom to call and let me know. This waiting is unbelieveably stressful.

Ok, he made it through the surgery!! This weekend will be critical for him. He is in intensive care. They sent out the biopsy and will be awaiting the results. The surgeon mentioned a possible problem with the lymphatic system. The specialist will have more info for them tomorrow, late afternoon.
So far we have had a little miracle, he survived the surgery, now we need the big one, a benign biopsy report and a treatment for his problem.

Anyone know what lymphatic system problems there are are that cause fluid build up in the chest cavity??? Any ideas?

I'm so glad to read this news! I will be thinking of you all, all day, today, even if I'm not on the computer reading. I will check in tonight for an update.
