I also understand your need for a break. But, don't stay away forever - you are a big part of Pet Talk and you would be greatly missed. It is something how one bunny named Sohie could give us so many wonderful memories - we won't forget either of you anytime soon.

I just found this thread. I am so sorry to hear about sweet Miz Sophie. She was a beautiful bunny..very soulful eyes, and gorgeous velvet fur. She will be greatly missed by us all.

Tonya, I can understand your desicion, and I respect it. It's very hard to lose a loved one, esp. someone as special as Miz Sophie was (and always will be, for all of us). I understand that it would be really hard to come here, to a place that reminds you of her so much. Please, take care of yourself, and as said, remember the good times. Reading yur post and seeing how much this hurts you, I admire that you came back and wrote us.

Tonya , I can fully understand how you fell right now , and why you need a break ...! Miz Sophie was so very dear to you and everything here reminds you of her . So , if you wanna stay away for a while , we will all understand !!
I hope you will have another sweetheart one day ; lil Miz Sophie will send you one as soon as you are ready for it !

Yeah, when an animal dies (and I have had lots of them die), the best thing to do is just take a break from everything. That is what I did when I lost all my bunnies...and kitties...and doggies...and piggies....and hammies...and gerbils...and ratties...

well you get the point. You will still be one of Pet Talk's devoted posters! Miz Sophie will have a fun time up there when she meets my grandma! Boy is she a fun person! And when she meets Miss Perfect, Ciara, Snowball, Harriet, Guy, Guy JR, Mack, Max, Smokey, Shadow, Mickey, and all my other pets she will have fun too!! And with all the bunnies up there they will probably make her QUEEN of Parsley!! Anyway, Miz Sophie will see you again...just you wait...

Thank you for this Phred. It also expresses what is in my heart today. Tonya, we love you and will miss you but do pray that when the time is right you will return. I know you have opened my eyes to the wonders of having a bun-bun for a pet. I only wish we could have had more time to get to know Ms. Sophie even better. (((((HUGS)))))

My Sunny went to the Bridge over 15 yrs ago and he still comes to me sometimes at night and I can feel him on my shoulder. I'm sure Miz Sophie will not let you stay alone either.

Dear Tonya,
I am so very sorry to hear about Miz Sophie. She was a very special part of all our lives thanks to the wonderful stories you have shared with us over the years. I can picture her giving her "THUMPZ" and demanding parsley. I can see her giving you bunny kisses and snuggling up with you.

I wish there was some way I could take the pain and loneliness away that you are feeling right now. I have been there and know how you feel like your whole world seems so empty now. Nothing I can say can make that go away but it is encouraging to know that in time the memories become sweeter again and the pain becomes less. You are a changed person because of the special love that a special bunny has shared with you. You are a richer person for being loved and loving one of God's creations so unconditionally. I can only imagine that there was a special reason God chose this time to take your much cherished loved one. I can see the angels all fussing over her right now.

As for Pet Talk, take the time you need to grieve but remember that we all love you and want you to stay part of this caring community. In your heart you are a pet lover and that is what Pet Talk is all about. You have a lot to contribute to others who come into this world of sharing their love of animals. You know our pets as well as we knew yours and you are a part of their lives now. It would be an empty place if we never heard from you. And then.... on a magical day when the time is right, you will once again have another pet to share with all of us and we will all rejoice with you.

Oh dear Tonnya - I've just returned from hospital and what's the first thing I read on Pet Talk - 'our' Tonya's thinking of leaving us!

Tonya- I am so sorry about the loss of poor Sophie. You did everything you could to help her. I hope after you have had some time to grieve you will stay with us at PT.
