Yes that picture of her tongue was when she was in my lap & she was trying to lick the camera while I snapped the picture.. Did you notice the yellow wrap bandage that she took off of the leg where her IV Catheter was.. Buttons had already pulled off two other wraps..

Gentle pets and head-bumps to you, Buttons.

When Chrissy had her eye surgery they removed the stitches after 10 days, so you should be able to get it done at the end of next week.

I am glad that Buttons is doing so well

Hey many thanks.. So what you think of her already being home for the weekend with all the other babies?? Do you think her 3 day healing will be enough for her to start being around other babies??

Helene, I think you could TRY bringing her home...the vet knows you are an extraordinary cat mom. Then you could see if the others try to play with her a little too soon.

Of course, if Buttons is on really neat painkillers, SHE may start playing with THEM!

She looks great. Hopefully she'll be able to come home this weekend. You may just have to keep her separated from the rest of the gang until her stitches are taken out or until she's healed up more. Please continue to keep us updated about her.

I'm sorry that I didn't see this thread until now but I'm sending my best wishes to you and beautiful Buttons. I'm guessing that she must feel a whole bunch better with the pressure relieved that she must have been experiencing before the rupture. She looks great in the pics and hearing that she is taking her bandages off sounds like she is feeling pretty good!
You are taking wonderful care of her. Her soft hippo stuffie sounds very sweet! I'm sure she appreciated having that with her at the hospital.
She will be on cloud nine when she is back home with you and able to snuggle up in bed. Hope that day comes soon for both of you.

They actually released Chrissy the same day as her surgery. I was told to keep an e-collar on her and try to keep her as quiet as possible (yeah right, she was 6 months old at the time). Well the collar lastest about a 1/2 hour and from the way she bounced around you would never have known that she had surgery. I did have some pain meds for her, but she just seemed so happy to be feeling better that she just got right back into the swing of things with the rest of the furry ones.

Buttons will do perfectly fine when she gets home. The other cats may sniff her but I suspect they will leave her alone for awhile (at least that is what mine did).

Many Thanks for the Positive & Loving Thoughts & Prayers for Buttons.. Yes I thought about that eyepatch.. Cute.. Well I just came back from the Vets seeing Buttons.. Me & the Vet agreed due to the multi household that to let Buttons stay there for the weekend.. This will give her more healing days.. Cause we sure dont want any boboss.. I took her fluff mouse & some other toys.. I also brushed her real good.. She Loves that.. I let her walk around the room a bit.. She & the orphand kitten next to her played a bit.. Buttons looks real good.. We will see Monday on bringing her home..

I WONDERED what that yellow thing was!

Is that a picture of Buttons on your t-shirt in the photo of you holding her?
