After viewing all the beautiful replies, it almost seems senseless for me to add my computer background, It is usually a recent photo of a wonderful dog in my life.

I haven't changed it yet, it is still a beautiful picture of Marilyn Monroe, who died on August 5, 1962.

Obsession.

Mine is of a lily I found growing in my yard.
Poor thing has a sad tale: it was growing with three others. This week, painters stomped them all down. The other two died but this one seemed determined to bloom. Well, bloom it did!

I got pics of it this morning. Then the yard man came. First time the yard has needed mowing since July. Yep, my lily came to a sad end.

At least I got some pics to remember it by!

I still have the photos of a "little bird" that* Kirsten* (Pet Talk member) took from outside her office window on August 11th!!!

It is a "Wagtail" , It flew to my desktop, all the way from Germany!!!

I still think this little fellow is soooo adorable!!!!(waiting to get a chance to reply, on DIAL UP!!!!!!!!

I sure hope I did this right!!!
