Yeah...thats what we were going to do...I'll have to mix it in with her Pro Plan at first.

Willow also has dandruff, and since she has black her it shows up a lot, but when I look at her skin under her fur it looks like it itches a lot too.. does it?

Are you guys talking about the Nutro dog food? That's what the pound gave us a free bag of when we adopted Molly..

Her body SO did not agree with it. She had bad gas, her poops stank, and she had horrible dandruff.

We switched her over to Purina One Puppy Chow and her poops don't stink, the gas is gone, and so is the dandruff.

But that doesn't mean Lily (and Roxy?) won't do great on it.

What kind did she have? Nutro Natural Choice is the only food my dogs can eat without getting sick it seems.

I think it was the Nutro puppy stuff.. not sure what it was called actually. So, it could have just been too rich for her.

I've actually never heard of a shelter giving away Nutro before with their pets. Usually you get stuff like, Purina One or Puppy Chow for free from the shelters hehe

Nutro Natural Choice is the only high quality version of Nutro food. Probably why your dogs do well on it. It is the only one of the Nutro foods on the Whole Dog Journal list of recommended foods. The other Nutro products are not really much better than the other stuff you can get at any place.

Thanks Jess for the great sig of my kids!

Honestly, my mom said we should keep her on her Purina Pro Plan. Her breeder said she researched and that it was the best for her, and Lily's sort of picky. So I dont know if we will be switching or not. I'd love to switch Roxy over to it, shes not picky at all, but the problem is that'd be like $42 every month on dog food for her. *sigh* I dont know, but we are getting Lily some good quality shampoo and other stuff today at Petsmart.

Not true. Nutro Max is the 'lowest' of the Nutro foods, but it's still way better than most grocery store foods. Nutro Natural Choice is better than Max, but still not the best quality food Nutro offers. Nutro Ultra is the highest quality food by Nutro.

I don't even spend $42 on my 2 (Nanook & Raustyk) that are on Nutro every month and they are WAY bigger than Lilly. lol
One large bag, 35lbs which is about $28 (maybe about $30 after taxes) lasts me all month long with those 2.
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
