Oh no, poor Spike! My levels were all out of wack when I was in the hospital too, so I sure hope his levels come down so he can come home real soon!

What an awesome meowmie you are, Lisa, for paying such close attention to your babies. This would have been so easy for anyone to miss, much less someone who has......how many do you have these days?

We're up to 24 - 25 (lost count) and you're so correct, it's hard to notice things when you have so many. How do you know which one deposited and didn't in the litter box? Which one is going outside the box, etc. Spike was named that for a reason he's an ornery, fiesty guy. He just seemed subdued that day and I'm glad I'm a worrier.

Lisa, I'm sorry to hear that Spike is still at the vets and that his levels are still high. I sure hope that he'll be able to come home soon. More prayers and positive thoughts are being sent his way.

    Spike is in the hospital

Prayers are still being prayed for Spike's recovery and I hope your next talk with the whitecoat will be a whole lot better. By the way, how are YOU doing? Prayers are for you, too!!!

We are praying that Spike feels better soon. Thanks for keeping us posted. We all worry so about our babies (and everyone elses!)
Ask your vet about microchipping. ~ It could have saved Kuhio's life.

    1/12 Update
Kevin just got off the phone with the vet and Spike is doing substantially better. His blood work is still not in the normal range, but much better. He's peeing on his own and will get to come home this afternoon! We will of course have to monitor him and administer antibiotics (which he is the worst cat we have for pilling). I think we've decided to go with liquid form. Then next week he goes back in for more blood work. Spike thanks you all for your well wishes, concerns, and thoughts (and we do to). Now lets just hope this doesn't reoccur!

Lisa, thanks for the update. I'm glad that Spike will finally be able to come home. Hopefully he'll let you medicate him without too many problems and I also hope he'll make a speedy and full recovery and have no more problems in the future.

Spike was happy to get home, but he still doesn't look well. He's in bed with Beavis and Blaze! We'll try and get pictures soon.

Oh no, I'm glad he's home but I sure hope that helps perk him up a bit. Come on Spike! We know you have spunk because of your name, so time to bring it back sweetie. Hopefully being home and a good snuggle with the B's will help tremendously.
