Nutrial Cal (there is another brand that is cheaper, same ingrediants called Nutri Stat that I purchased). Comes in a tube.
I strongly suggest getting it soon because this stuff really helps the appetite. Very high in calories too.

Can you purchase what he was eating in Japan? Better yet have your daughter pack what he was eating and bring it with her. That way you can mix old with anything new.

Boomer seemed to be getting attached to Tyler. I'll bet his world will come together when he sees them again.

Words cannot express how happy I am that he is with you!

You heard him slurping water? WOW - the only one in my house I usually hear is the d-o-g!

If you are buying baby food - try the meat sticks they have in cans. Kloe LOVES these.

In all the excitement over Boomer, I **forgot** Missy and Tyler weren't far behind! Maybe Boomer is just a little lovesick, and won't eat until his 'family' arrives? Not that you aren't family...but, you know what I mean...I hope!

I just can't get enough of Boomer!!! That picture of him 'hiding' under the cover is hilarious, that boy does have some big eyes!!!

Now Boomer, you have to start eating more; you are going to make your grandmeowmie worry if you don't.

no pictures this post - just and update - we bought some veal baby food and boomer chowed down on that - now has eaten half of his dry food so i feel much better. more poo in the box, too. becky - boomer has been eating the same food at his home....same litter too. good thought!

boomer's door is open now and everyone has been coming and going with only isolated growling...boomer is hiding again!! as above.

gini and Joh - I also think boomer is a bit homesick and will be happy to see Missy and tyler - we will suffice but nothing better than familiar folks when everything in life has changed!!

That's is for now - maybe pics tomorrow.

Indoor cats like Boomer are more attached to the people in the home rather than the home itself.

Mango, Bubbles & Peaches, all indoor cats, recently moved to new digs and there was hardly a ripple in their lifestyle since the people they know and love were there. They just had new places to explore. Bubbles always hides behind the pillows or under the covers on the bed so she and Boomer would get right along!

My mom's indoor/outdoor cat, a Russian Blue named Binky, seems equally attached to her as he is to his home (his territory maybe?) and would probably be hard to move to a new place.

I suspect Boomer will be much more settled and more brave once Missy & Tyler are with him.

Thats a good start "isolated grawling". LOL
Glad Boomer is eating and peeing/pooping on more regular basis.

    eating question....

How long is TOO long to not eat?? Boomer has only eaten twice that I am aware of - maybe 1/2 cup of his dry food. He has poo'd twice and they are small amounts and hard - constipation??

Any suggestions? Is there something to get his bowels moving? His belly does not seem distended or tender as far as I can tell. Missy and Tyler will be arriving tomorrow night so that may just take care of what is ailing him!!

I just don't want to risk a sick kitty you know? He acst normal except for so little eating. The door to his safe room is open and he does venture out a few times a day. The sirrahkitties are totally fine with him - no hissing or aggression whatsoever. They either ignore him or try to play but give up pretty quickly.

    Thanks!

Better add a few new pix!
When Boomer walks around, Emily normally follows him. She really seems to like him and I have seen them laying near each other and she even got in a head lick!

Boomer still appears very cautious when he is exploring but I did not even expect him to leave his room yet...
