Good morning everyone! I'm a little late getting a jump-start today, but there is fresh coffee on and some Bailey's on the bar.

Trev, that dinner sounds scrumptious! What time should I be there?

Ok everyone, I think I'm going to make brunch for us. How about eggs benedict along with Gini's potato casserole. If Laurie shows up, maybe she can make some crabcakes. For now, enjoy the fresh fruit and bagels with cream cheese.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

I'm here! I'm a bit weary after only a few hours sleep (flight delays last night of course ) and a ka-zillion emails here at work to catch up on but hey, I know where my priorities are. Sooo.. let me get some cakes prepared and put into the fridge to set up nicely for a bruncheon/luncheon in a few hours. Let's get Gini's potato casserole going too - wowsers is that good stuff!! Is there any of that Canadian smoked salmon for the bagels? Decadence in the morning is one of my favorite things

Well, I told myself I wasn't going to have a big breakfast.........cut down on the intake a little bit.........but there it was - that smell of freshly made coffee - something good in the oven - Bailey's on the bar................you got me!!

Welcome back Laurie - you were missed!
How about a Mimosa to go with those crab cakes?

I am very happy it is Friday.

Laurie, so good to see you back and to echo Gini....yes, you were missed.....alot! {{{hugs}}} big sis and to you too Gini.

Here's the smoked salmon and also a tub of raspberry cream cheese...for those who like a little sweetness to their morning.

My day today should be fairly easy although my horrorscope says that I should keep my emotions in check as there will be alot of miscommunication going on. Me? Emotional? Ha!

Now excuse me while I just check to make sure that fresh crab is OK to use....quality control, you know!!

I'm right behind you girl! Well, it's that time of the morning and I've got to get ready for work.

I'll check in with you all later when it's time to cook the eggs bennie. Be good!

'Morning everybody! Glad to see you're back, Laurie, do you hate those trade shows as much as Terry does?

My day started out good, then went downhill real fast. It's still raining here, which I love because we need it sooo bad, but of course that makes the roads slick, and I've always hated the way my Tracker stops in an emergency situation....sooo...this morning it didn't.....stop that is. I ended up rear ending a Kia Sedona van. Nobody was hurt and my airbag didn't even go off, but "she" comes out of the van all "attitudey" making gestures like WTF and all. He comes out rubbing his shoulder - I'm sure he's going to try to claim whiplash or something because just kept rubbing it, and it was probably injured in a baseball game last night or something, except this guy weighed well over 250 lbs, so I can't see him playing baseball....and he did tell the cop he was ok and didn't need an ambulance.

So, that was the excitement of my morning. The cop did not give me a ticket so I guess it's just an accident and my insurance premiums will go up, but it's the only thing on my record for years and years and years and years....which is why he probably didn't give me a ticket.

Anyway, a nice biiiig breakfast with an extra shot of Baileys in my coffee would be real nice right now. <insert "I'm screwed" smiley here>

Aww Debbie, come on over here and I will pour you some Bailey's for your coffee............

NOT a good way to start out your day. Thank goodness no one was hurt.

We don't have rain for months here in CA. so when it does - everyone is sliding into each other because the roads are so oil slicked.

Gosh, I hate it when people get a bad attitude in situations like that T & P. The gal that stopped on the onramp that caused the accident I was in (a car stopped dead on an onramp, a van stopped behind it and I hit the van after sliding on some road gravel ) I cracked my sternum so the ambulance checked me out. While I was sitting there (having breathing problems) the gal in the front car (That didn't even get hit, I found out) Was claiming my little dinky car at 35mph hit a mini-van with its E-brake and regular brakes on hard enough to push it 5 feet into the back of her car and jared it enough to give her whiplash...

My insurance company told her where to go and how to get there lol plus she got a $4000 ticket too (she was an unlicenced driver in a car that wasn't hers)

Anyway...its that magical friday day again. Another party this weekend for me and hopefully some much needed REST!

Somebody hand over one of those crab cakes...well make it two as the kitties will want some.

Sorry to hear about that Debbie - that is a rotton way to start a day. We're expecting our first rain in a while next week and I know the roads will be filled with fender-benders.

Are your tires the ones that came with the car? Back when I had my Tercel, it had lousy factory issued tires. We swapped them out for better quality ones and I could feel the difference the very first time it rained.

re: attitudes. Your running into these people didn't make them rude, they were already that way. They probably don't have a wonderful place like Thursdays to unwind, so they're like that all the time.

Oh Debbie, I'm so sorry to hear that your day started off so bad. Thank goodness no one was seriously hurt and I sure hope those people don't take you to the cleaners.

I'm in the mood for some breakfast. What do ya say I start making the eggs bennie. Laurie, you around? I'll heat up a pan for them crab cakes.

DJF: I remember awhile back your husband was sick. How is he doing now? You have not mentioned it.
