No snow or rain here - just beautiful sunshine and 60 degree weather. But the chili is still delicious.

Speaking of windows, we were having a new sliding glass door installed at my house today. "Were" is the operative word for the day. We told the original person "this is not a standard window size - meausre carefully."

Later we looked at his measurements and didn't like what we saw so we called the company to send out another person to measure again.

Well, guess what isn't the right size today. Fortunately, they did the measuring so its their error, not ours.

Think I'll take a nekkid beer barkeep.

These are not the droids you were looking for

Grandmother of Mrs. Phred here.................. I always have sugar cubes in my pockets and an apple or two. The orange things? Oh, those are carrots.

Sitting around by the fire eating chili made by Laurie and sipping on slushies.........what a life! wish it were mine!

Catland, not much fun with your new door! Look at it this way, the next one will be perfect........so their reputation isn't ruined.

What is it with window people measuring incorrectly? They do this for a living, you'd think they'd know what they were doing? My mom went through this exact same thing. They had almost every window in their house replaced except the HUGE front windows that go from floor to ceiling. The way the rest of them turned out it's a godsend that they decided to wait on the big ones. It was almost an entire year before every window was correct and in place, and some of them were never correct, my parents just got sick of fighting with the contractor and the window people about it. I don't know how many times the windows had to be remade, and the window people ended up paying for one of those concrete sill thingys that they swore would still be able to be used, but the contractor broke it while installing one of thee windows that didn't fit properly. My mom says it's a good thing that she won't be around the next time the house needs windows!

Anyway, I'm really ready for some of that chili right now! It snowed here for a bit, but it stopped now. I'm starving and the boss is still here to aggrivate me, so how about a couple slushies with that chili.....thanks.

Oh my.....I'm never going to keep "abreast" of the goings-on in here today.

Maybe I should just sit in the corner with my cherries and listen.....

Come on, Richard. Don't be mad at me. Anyone could have found that. Now, how about a watermellon slushie? That sounds so good. Weather here is already getting hot and muggy. I so envy those that have snow right now. I know. Same conversation, different day. How's everyone doing today?

I think I need a few more slushies while I ponder this one......

Well, I'm off to take a final for the class from hell. Wish me luck as if I don't do well on this test it's highly possible I could fail this class - which has never happened in my life! I don't feel too bad though as I believe everyone in class is close to failing - shows what a hellish class it was....and to think I paid good money for this crap!

Thanks for the slushies and if you could send another one about every 1/2 hour or so until I check in again....that way even if I fail I might be sloshed enough not to notice.

Green shots for all who wants them. That's the only kind of shot I like. They seem to be the favorite here. I wish I had five inches of snow here! It wouldn't last long but it sure would be pretty while it was here. I did get to see the ugly part of snow while I was in Maryland, though. I couldn't believe how high they could get it piled up and how dirty it looked. So, at least my fantasy of snow got a little reality.

YIKES! Good thing I made a HUGE kettle of Chili! Thanks for the extra cheese and chili peppers guys. Sorry you saw the ugly side of snow Val, it really can be pretty. Right now I have a HUGE fire going with a bunch of cats and dogs trying not to burn themselves It's not really a horrible storm but yes Richard.. just a hint and our - current - Gov't seems fit to close. But it will be, as is now, below freezing so whatever wet is on the streets will turn into the infamous "Black Ice". The streets look OK but they are a solid sheet of ice. Tomorrow morning "rush" hahaha hour will be very interesting

Well, I'm back from hell, ready for a few more slushies.

Hell wasn't as bad as I expected - whew!

Mmm...Laurie, I forgot about the cheese and onions on my chili. Think I'll have a second bowl when I get home - I'm still at work. That way I have two computers to work on for the test, and no distractions such as cutie pie kitties....or fighting kitties....or...or...FOOOD! Can't wait to get home and EAT!!!

Wish we had to shut down today because of the snow. Nothing better than a snow storm and being home and snuggled in with the critters.
