I love this part of the day here in PT land!

I think I would love a shot of whiskey, please....brings up a Song queue - Whiskey for my Men, Beer for my Horses....

although I never owned a horse - would they even like beer?

I know I didn't for most of my non-adult life!

Hi Snappy. It's been a while since I've seen you here; welcome back. Make yourself comfortable and I'm sure Richard will be along shortly.

I love that song and have it on CD. You should hear me sing to it in the car
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Actually I am here every Thursday - but because I am stealing time at work......and the bosses office is directly behind me, I don't always get a chance to actually post...

So y'all know that a lurker is in the room....in the shadows, watching and enjoying the conversation...

BTW Slick - I would love to hear you sing that song....I love the video also! I have to admit that I watch CMT - it is one of the last places that still play videos and not 'reality' shows! Well that and VHI-Classics....but then I am aging myself on that one.

Hey David - can I ask you to play some classic rock to dance to? Something from Bad Company so I can remember High School Friday night dances?

    *Sings*
    Lead to the river
    Midsummer, I waved
    A ā€˜V’ of black swans
On with hope to the grave
    All through Red September
    With skies fire-paved
    I begged you appear
Like a thorn for the holy ones

I LOVE gothic break up songs Good songs to sing after you've had a beer or several

Sing along Remus! You can too Mario!

I'd post the rest of the lyrics but it gets kind of...umm graphic. Not overtly so but I don't want anyone getting any bad ideas

I'm back and I'm in shock! Anybody here this story?

Well, I knew the guy from Hawthorn Woods, IL! I never actually met him, but I talked to him on the phone all the time. He was a project manager for a few jobs we did. My boss knows him personally, and even took him and his two kids (the third kid is only 3 months old!) out on his boat during the summer. He was always really nice to me on the phone and and never seemed irate or irritated like some project managers. He was always really helpful in getting the answers I needed - like when are we going to be paid.

I heard the news story last night on the news and heard his name, but I didn't connect it with him because there is NO way I would ever think the guy I talked to would kill his parents! He was just a normal guy! Amazing how people can just snap like that. And it's SO sad because obviously his wife had no idea and all their kids are under 8 - and like I said, the youngest is just 3 months old.

Oh, and thanks to Slick's Baileys, I can now turn my head to the left. Haven't gotten it all the way around yet, but I'm headed home for some split pea soup for dinner, and then I'll attempt the full turn.

Hope everybody has a great evening. I'll probably be contemplating the meaning of life - and how things can go so bad so quickly - for the rest of the evening.....

We had some moron shoot his wife and kill himself after.
They left 4 kids behind. One was about 4-5 months old.

IT'S always the kids that suffer.

Goodnight, friends. It is always so good to see everything that happens on Thursdays, even if I'm not here to experience it.

I would like one DOTD for the road, please, Richard. Remember, no coconut, no dark liquor.......other than that, I'm ok! Maybe one of Slick's Bloody Mary's would do the trick for me. I swear, I'm no too picky.

    Goodnight all, and Happy Thursday!

Since we're talking old music, how about Blood Sweat and Tears and also Bread? Seals and Crofts. Love all them. Oh, ELO is one of my favs. I'm about ready to say goodnight, too.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
