I joined January 2nd, 2003. But I feel like I've been here forever Everyone has been so nice. My first post was on January 5th, about dogs swimming. I had to post the pic as a clickable attachment because I didn't know how to use the IMG button. I've come a long way on my way to 2000 posts. My first thread was on January 25th about a man beating his dog with a shotgun.

I'm one of the OLDIES in more ways that one. I've been here since 6-26-00, one day after Zippy-Kat. I don't think I posted initially, then I must have forgot I joined and joined again two months later under the name RachelJ. I really was upset that there was someone who took the name Rachel and then never posted. One day I checked the profile, and found out it was ME. So I reactivated myself under that name to lay claim to my initial join date, even thought I lost the total of all those accumulated posts as RachelJ. I know, I know.

I'm also an oldie in more ways than one, like Rachel. June 29, 2000 is the day I became a Pet Talker. When I joined I had only my kitties, as my two previous poodles had gone to the Rainbow Bridge a couple of years earlier. Now my fur family once again includes two dogs so I have 4 furry ones to yack about.

I hadn't noticed that feature. Thanks, Freckles! I went back and noticed a lot of members from my early posting that I don't see much of, got a little misty eyed. Silly, huh?

What's impressive is how quickly Pet Talk grew. Did you notice that there were over a hundred registered members within a month of it starting? That's fast start up for an on-line community, it seems to me.

I joined 29 May 2001. A little over two years ago.
