    AWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!
Those pictures are adorable! This is so exciting! A NEW gene!? Wow! That's really pretty cool! Eep! I can't wait til their fur grows!

  2. #2
Well I am not going to get that excited yet lol, but we will see what my friend says. She has a lot of experience in genetics, and knows a heck of a lot more than me. Even if my RB doe was molting, there is no way she would be solid and then her guard hairs turn brown, it is just so weird.

Their fur is comming in and I can now see it, so in about two days I *should* know what colors I have, or at least assume what colors I have lol.

She is the third from the left, with a colored head and a white body.

Ooohhhh.....bareback is a color pattern!!! Hehe, now I get it! I was thinking bareback meant hairless on the backside??? Yeah, NOT REALLY. Thanks for clearing that up.

Aww they really are a rainbow of colors! I'm so glad they are all doing so well!

We used to have a TON of rats.

It started when we got Emmit and male rate who we adored. Then my sister got Helen. It was an entire accident that Helen got pregnant. We were not trying to get her pregnant but we often brough both rats out at the same time and we though Emmit just wanted a piggyback ride Helen's first litter was really cool because we kept them all. Me and my brother and my other sister picked one rat to be ours. Lizzy was mine. Peter had the only boy John Pierre. Hannah had Alice who did backflips. We had another rat named Bianca who was albino. Those are the only ones I can remember (we had them a long time ago).

Lizzy and Helen were the only ones to have litters after that. Lizzy lost all her babies and Helen lost two of her babies. She did have one baby that survived we thought was a boy and named him Billy. Then Billy became Billie.

You know what was really special about Billie though? When we had the litter the two babies we lost were really fighting for their lives. There was a tiny little girl rat and Billie always cuddled up to her even though her eyes were still shut. Even though this girl was the tiniest her larger brother died before her and I believe Billie might have had some affect on that poor baby.

We had one other rat I can clearly remember named Emma and she was my brother and he and my mom brought her home from the petstore where they were going to use her as snake food. She was already old and was incredibly sweet and we all loved her. The one day I was sitting on the couch and all the girl rats were with me. Emma came over and climbed into my lap. She laid her head on my leg, closed her eyes and died. I will never forget that.

I really miss having rats. I love them so much and I miss Lizzy, Alice, Bianca, John Pierre, Billie, Helen, Emmit, and Emma to this day.

Sorry didn't mean to start blabbing.

If you're listening to this song
You may think the chords are going wrong
    But they're not
We just wrote it like that

When you're listening late at night
You may think the band are not quite right
But they are, they just play it like that

It doesn't really matter what chords I play
What words I say or time of day it is
As it's only a Northern song

It doesn't really matter what clothes I wear
Or how I fare or if my hair is brown
When it's only a Northern song

    If you think the harmony
Is a little dark and out of key
    You're correct, there's nobody there

And I told you there's no one there

well I have two agoutis, looks like two fawns, maybe some pearls/siamese? and some minkish base colors......lol

I have never had mink based babies so it's hard for me to tell lol. I will know more once they get a little bit bigger. I also have some very pretty blues.
