OH no, it's far more important to celebrate MLK day than President's day. I think we should have both off, but our school board in its infinite wisdom doesn't see it that way.

    Snow but no shovels

Well, it finally started snowing about 5 AM this morning. You must know that I live north of Burlington, only about 1 1/2 hr. from the Canadian border and very near NY state. We often get weather conditions the same as Montreal or northern NY, rather than Burlington. I also live on one of the islands in Lake Champlain, tossing in another weather condition factor.

Anyway, right behind this front is another storm coming on Wednesday. Yipee. We love the snow here and are prepared for it ... well, I love the snow, I cannot speak for others.

We are all looking forward to temperatures above freezing!

So no shovels for us right now. I surely hope everyone south of us has found the path to the street and that the snowplow has arrived at least once!

It;s very drifty-blowy snow, too, and our street had not yet been plowed AT ALL, but our new Honda CRV went right up the hille just fine!
As soon as I heard the news about the snow in Boston, I thought about you, Karen, knowing how much you love it. Well, looks like you got it!!! Hey, congratulations on the new car!!! Sounds like you got it just in time!!!!

It was amazing! Paul came out at 1 am last night to tell me to go inside! I was still shoveling, it was still snowing! He took some pictures, there are snow piles taller than me!

We just got a bunch of rain dumped on us. But, most of it was gone for the weekend! Too bad we were in Mississippi were it rained all weekend, and on Monday when we left to come back here, some snow was starting to fall out of the sky there. I'm just shocked at some of the pics I've seen though of some of the snow places fell! Good thing with our traveling we didn't get any!

    How I spent my day

After 3 hours of digging, we got my son's car out!

Here it sits in the nice cleared off driveway, all ready to drive to work tomorrow! I sure hope this is the last storm this season!

Well, we got somewhere over 27 inches, but it was very drifty snow, and strong winds, so there's no sure place in the yard to measure!!!!

Sorry no pictures yet, now it's snowing again!
