Oh boy, I know that feeling when they eat for you. Your heart is breaking and leaping for joy all at the same time.

Killian, you are sure in my prayers and Mom Sue too!

Well, short-lived celebration. This morning as he started to eat, he must have hit a sensitive area, let out a huge yelp and ran around the house in pain!! Now he's afraid to eat. This is very trying. Can't help him. Wish I could. I'll give the meds a little while longer, and then we may have to pull more teeth, even though it is too early since the last extractions and may jeopardize his health further. This is so hard.

Darn it, Sue. I was so in hopes that Killian would feel good this morning and have a good breakfast. Poor fellow , it breaks my heart to hear he, and you, are going through this.

Please know that we are continuing to pray for some relief for him.

I am so saddened when I read about Killi having setbacks. I feel your pain, Sue. Killian is in my thoughts. Sue, I am so sorry that you have to see him in pain. I remember how helpless I felt when Graham had his orthopedic surgery last year and that crying is gut wrenching. I am so sorry I still send my good thoughts and wishes for Killi, and I think he can pull out of this latest episode.

Is Killian doing any better today? Oh, I sure hope so. I'm keeping you both in my prayers. I couldn't imagine having to deal with all your going through right now.
Give him a big hug from me. Please update soon, ok?

Thank you for your on-going prayers.

Last night, he would not eat. So I let him be, thinking this morning he should want to eat something. This morning he passed up his food. I did get him to eat some ham and cheese with great coaxing and the threat of Shiloh eating all the food.

As a result of Woofstock on Sunday, where a reporter from our newspaper brought her black GSD, Killian and I are going to be in a feature story about canine nutrition and diets. The reporter was impressed with the liver diet I feed Killi, so they included him in the report and want a picture me with him eating his food. LOL! I told her it isn't going to happen, he won't eat. So, I guess we'll be either spiking his food with chicken or leaving the food out of the picture! How ironic! Maybe we can substitute Shiloh, she'll eat anything!!! LOL

Oh Sue, I missed your post yesterday about Killi's setback. I am so saddened to hear that he is going through so much pain and you are going through so much difficulties.

I am not sure what the liver diet is made of, but can it be pureed so that he lick it and eat it as opposed to chewing it?

Souraya, it is ground beef, rice, bread, and egg. It is in real small crumbly pieces. He usually just sticks his tongue in and swallows it without chewing. I'm counting on him eating some chicken today.

Sue, have you ever tried chicken soup?? I was thinking you could maybe make up a bowl of fat free chicken or beef broth with some cooked rice, shreded chicken or crumpled hamburger and even soak some bread in it. Lapping up the mostly liquid soup he would get down the rice and a little meat too. I'm so sad that Killian had such pain trying to eat. He is so brave. I hope he will feel enough to pose for the article himself; eating We love you Killi. Please get better.

This absolutely breaks my heart. Yes, it must be unbelievably hard. You've done so much, tried so much...and to see these episodes has to be just the worst. Dearest Killian. Your mommy loves you and we all love you. I can't help but crying for you sweet boy.
