Lemmie fill ya'll in onna latest stuff ...

A week anna half ago we did the DawgSittin / Kat Pillin drill wiff our bud Miz Cali an her
lil brudder B.C. da Kat whilst Mom & Dad (Unkle Pat & Miz Joan) went outta towne fur sumpin.
Nuffin much happined - Dad neber *lost* da Kat;
but we did meet da Stray back by da ole Pony Barn an Equipment Shed at Cali's Ranch ...

She wuz purdy shy & timid - but SmokeMutt managed to rub a noze affore she ducked back in
wiffa Traktor inna shed. Dad caught just a *glimpse* of her - figgered she belonged to
the Too-Many-Dogs neighbor an dint thunk too much about it on Wednesday mornin.

Wednesday nite Smoke trotted right back by da shed an they did sum *sniffin*.
Thurzday - Guess Who wuz *peekin* round da shed? Smoke headed back ...

Thurzday nite da Folks called - they'z back an Want da Dawg back!
Dad fell fur the free food offer, so we hauled Cali back home ...
Ebberbuddie wuz inside cept da Smoke --- guess where he wuz?

Smoke & Stray wuz chazin each udder in frunt of da barn - gave Dad a chance to point
her out to Unka Pat & Miz Joan ... they didnt know they had a *squatter* out back!

Long storrie short - took an hour of callin & tossin Krunchies down onna driveway,
but ole Miz Stray finally made it up near the garage an dint *panik* every time
Unka Pat dropped a Krunch down frumma porch. Miz Joan took over an went down wiffa
handpaw full of Krunchies ... Stray came rite up an gently took lil bytes frumma finners!

Dad went next - Krunchies anna ropey leash --- she dint *phuss* about da leash ... but hadda
bit of trubbel figgerin out how to follow Dad. Dint like the front porch steps -
Dad sat inna chair an she finally *hopped* up onna porch wiffout da steps.
Dad checked her leather collar - NO tags an it was *really* too tight!
He backed it off one hole an she seemed a LOT happier!
Dey sat onna poch fur 15 minnitz; Dad decided to bring her up onna Back porch ...
That took a while! She din't *do* back steps!
Ten Minnitz of a gentle *tug* onna leash, an she finally climbed up 6 steps - WUN atta tyme!
Da Herd came out onna porch to ALL say Howdie & Welkome!

We'd dun our work ... *Nite All*! ...We headed back to da Ranch.
Da Plan wuz to leave a bowl of kurnch onna back porch ...
Morning found her sleepin onna rug by da frunt door!

Saturday report (a WEEK ago) ... Where's #2?

Pat & Joan hadda go out Friday - called & called - Mutt had taken a *powder* - GONE!
They came back - to Miz Muttley sittin onna Frunt Porch - *watchin* every car onna road!
She dashed around to meet 'em at the garage ... FILTHY DURTY!
Coverd in MUDD - head to tail!

By Saturday afternoon, Miz Stray Mutt had:
* Hadda Friday nite baff & shampoo & dry job
* Been INSIDE all Friday evening
* Been *shoved* into the HUGE crate for GranPups Zig & Macey (who live in Columbus)
* Settled down an stayed *quiet* ALL Night
* and Slept INSIDE all night - with NO mess inna crate come mornin!

Phone calls made, Flyers wiff snappie printed & posted in towne, visits to ALL the neighbors made,
an nunbuddie seems interested in claiming her.

We steered clear all week - been lettin Mumma Nature do her thing ...
MOLLY has been an "insider" all week - crate at night, but mostly free inna howze all day.
She an Cali get along jest *phine* ... she's been kept away frum lil B.C. da Kat,
but she knows he's inna howze an mostly ignores him.

Tanite, Dad finally opened up da diskussion bout gettin her shotz an fixed ... we've already called
Angels fur Animals - da whole shebang fur $150! Includes heartworm test & pills, flea stuff,
vaccinations, pedicure, ear wash, da Sir Jury.
Miz Joan wuz lookin at her calendar fur da week after they get back ... Dad sed that
she might be *dun* before then! I think we're callin Dianne at da Angels tumorrow!

More later --- gettin way past "late"!
As we speaks ... Cali is unner a chair inna den, Smoke is unner da puter desk, Cinder is headed fur BED,
an da Guest of Honor, Miz Molly, is crashed inna hallway blockin da den door!

Since we gotz no crate, Molly is gonna get da Leash Treatment inna BunkRoom -
she kan hold da dresser frum wanderin away inna night.

We'll do *snappies* tumorrow!

This wasn't so easy!
She's either wound higher than a kite; or flopped down and totally UN-responsive!

From last night ... after she finally quit *wandering* in the house ... I bagan to worry if
she was still breathing - when she's down, she's OUT!




From today ... her feet were in my LAP!
She'll do ANYthing for a byte!
Here I'd just got her to put all 4 feet back on the floor! >>>





Now's she's spotted the Treet Tub on the table --- I missed her attempt to
*shake* with the table.




She's loosing interest in the photoshoot ... here we're seconds away from
a total collapse into a dog heap!




I gave up waiting and called the Head Angel at Angels for Animals (Smokey was processed there).
Dianne said she'd call into the Med Department and have them call me back ...
Phone was ringing within 3 minutes! (Helps to know the Head Gal!)

"Becky" said they were full up till Friday.
Molly is due fur Sir Jury at 08:00 (OMG!) on Friday ... Pick her up between 3:00 and 7:45 pm.

All we gotta worry about is if she's in Heat. She's JUST had a litter of Pups based upon
her somewhat *droopy* milk dispensing equipment. She does outies on either a hand-held leash
or a tie-out tied to the porch post.

All Four of 'em were out front this afternoon ... till two folks on BIKES peddled by! OMG!
Good thing Big Foot was tied! She was trying to head 'em off at the road!
I really thought it was Cinder doing the alarm barking - but it was our newest recruit!
Next past was a 4-Wheeler ... she didn't seem too fond of that, either.

Zipp, Zopp, and Cali got invited in ... Big Foot elected to Guard da Ranch so she's still out.
She been "out front" - ALL by herself - for over an hour!
Not a whimper nor a whine from being alone!

However ~ ~ we DO need to work on the Ranch bounderies a bit ...
we seem a bit "overly protective" of the public road AND the Hose Farmers' driveways
which run on both sides of da Ranch.

*HARK*
I detect a Big Foot *knock* on the front door! Before she puts a HOLE in it,
I guess she'd like to come back in.

I can't wait till the Farmers' JackAss does his 3:00 am HEE-HEE-HEEE-HAAAAAAAW!!
routine for the first time while she's here ...

Thanks for the info C&S. It'll save me some of those extra logging ins to see if there is any news. Ya run up on a few more *worriers* around here.

What's a few dust bunnies among friends? Quit trying to hide those buggers. Those of us who might not have any (at this particular moment in time) can feel good (for that one hot minute we don't) by comparison.

Zipp & Zopp thought it was WAAAY too early to be up & about!

Molly's becoming a very relaxed bus rider ... it was our longest trip so far and she rode like a Champ!

A little shy as we passed through the outside pen area (6 or 8 <Barkers> out there), but
we got inside without a problem. Intake gal led Molly to her "first floor apartment" in
the holding area; and she slowly walked in without a phuss. No *yipping* when the gate closed.

Next worry is the Heartworm Test, and hope that she's not in a heat cycle;
Sir Jury will probably start between 12 and 1:00 pm.

I didn't *see* God there; but He mitta been sippin kawfee in the Doc's Lounge.

I'll *bug* 'em about 2:00 pm for a status report.
