    This tragedy is all over the news up here too. Cate....I'm struggling for words and really want to come up with something encouraging or at least comforting to say, but like the others, I'm trying to understand this whole situation. The media is saying that there is no motive. What could possibly prompt someone to carry out this senseless act???

    Prayers going out to all concerned and especially to you Cate. RIP Matt! Another young life taken too soon. What is this world coming to?

    Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

    Oh, Cate, I know you were worried about him. Rest in peace, Matt, another light snuffed out too soon.

    You are all still in our prayers.

    Ceph.... I am amazed that you were even able to sit down and write such a well thought out post. You are a much stronger person that I suspect I could be at such a time. It seems impossible now but you will heal..... those students, those families and those friends will be forever changed by this but they will find a way to go on. I cannot imagine the pain this has caused.

    Hind sight is 20/20 and a lot of people want to place blame... but there is no blame to be placed except for the person that did this. Like I said to you earlier.... it is easy to talk about the right thing to do when you are not the one that has to do it. There is nothing that could have prevented this horrible tragedy.... this.... evil man had a need to fulfill and no amount of planning, warning, or laws could have prevented this monster from doing what he came to do. It is just unfortunate that he had to take the lives of so many innocent people just because he didn't get his way in life.

    I am continuing to pray for you and for everyone in that community. This is definately a time to be with those you love, tell them you love them, hold hands, hug and just be together. You all need each other right now. I lit all my candles last night for all of you.... I will do so again tonight. It is just a small gesture but it is the best I can do right now.... I wish I could help some other way. But just know that my family and I are thinking of you all and praying for you. I'm so sorry

    R.I.P my dear Sweet Teddy. You will be missed forever. We love you.

    Cate, I am thinking about you this morning. My prayers have joined everyone else's. I wish there were something more I could do or say. Take good care. ((hugs))

    Candles and prayers are being sent, I truly hope you find some healing, and those that have also been touched by this. I am very glad that you are alright physically, my prayers and hopes for your mental and emotional health to recover.

    Cate, I hope you're doing as well as can be expected today. If you don't mind me asking, are you a student or teacher there? Sorry if I missed a post of this earlier. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

    I saw Matt's name on the list of deceased people on CNN. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the families of all the others.

    I've been Boo'd...
    Thanks Barry!

    My mind cannot comprehend how anyone could do such a terrible, terrible thing, or indeed how the family and friends of those killed will be able to cope with the pain and loss. My heartfelt condolences, my prayers, go out for them all.

    I had to take a break from watching the coverage. It just breaks my heart!!!

    Prayers on the way for everyone. I can only imagine the horror of it all!

    I just don't have any words right now.. except I want to say Cate, Matt and his family, and all of the people involved in this horrific tragedy are in my prayers. I will light a candle. There's just no way to express how sickening and heartbreaking this is. *tears*

    This is so sad. We had to do a news report from usatoday.com in a class of mine at school, and the gunman was a South Korean student at Vt. They said something about he was searching for his girlfriend when he shot all these people. *sigh* My teacher said she was praying for him, too, because he's obviously really lost. And I agree with her. I pray for the families of all these students, and you ceph, ((HUGS)), and to the guy that did this.
