    Here we go again!

There's a precious 5 yr old Golden named "Ben" coming to live with us for a while, starting Monday. He is so new that he isn't even on the Foothills Golden Retriever Rescue website yet. As soon as we get back from our Thanksgiving holiday, and through the work day on Monday, I'll pick him up from the vet. He is neutered, healthy and "clingy". Sounds like my Zipper. I can't wait to meet him. Hope Mack will be ok with him. I never worry about Honey and Lilly.

    Pictures will come next week!

My daughter, Helen (15), asked me when I was going to stop this stuff? LOL!!! She said, "Mom, you know you're going to keep him". Well, I didn't keep Gracie, and I hold out faith that I won't try to keep Ben, either. My husband is not going to be in favor of keeping anyone, I promise! She knows me well, though. I miss my Zipper. Mack is wonderful, but he isn't Zipper. I think Helen is thinking that if Ben fits the bill, then I'll be saying I want him to stay. I loved Gracie, but I didn't need her to stay. Let's hope I keep the same attitude about Ben! If I keep everyone I foster, I can't foster any more!

If my husband has anything to say about it, Ben will be on a temporary stop at our home. I didn't even ask him before I agreed to take Ben in. He's going to be out of town all next week, anyway! LOL!!! They have tons of applications, just need to get through them all.

Don't wish this on me, you guys. Pray for me to be strong so I can foster some more. Can't foster more if I have 4 of my own!

    awhile. Hope all goes smoothly.

    Uhhhh, OK ........

I remember *saying* that same line whilst driving to West Virginnie.

Something *happened* tween Fluff-Butt hoppin IN and then OUT at the Ranch ...

STILL tryin to figger out just WHAT *happened* ...
but the chances of him *leavin* seemed to lessen as each day passed.

I'm pretty sure he has his own Door Key, now.

8 months later, guess who is coming to live with us, permanently? BEN!!!!!! He is coming tomorrow and if Mack handles it well, which I think he will, I am going to have that precious boy back here with us. His owners love him so much, but their life is getting ready to change and they want what is best for him. Todd is going back to school and will be moving from place to place for training and they were worried about how it will affect Ben.

Helen and I spent a long time with them last night and I might just have "buddy" again, that can do therapy work with me, go to work with me, etc etc etc. Honey and Mack are awfully special, but they are not equipped mentally and physically to do the things I enjoyed with Lilly. Ben will never replace Lilly, but we all recognized that I needed her more than we ever knew and I have missed her so much and the things we did together. Scott is agreeable to this, although he has never met Ben, since he was out of town when Ben was here before. And he is out of town now, too. But, he ok, and Helen is ok, and they both support me on this.

I am so happy that I could dance!!!! I'll keep you posted!!!

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.

Oh, what a sweet boy!!! He reminds me of the dog I grew up with (except the 86 lb. part!) Good luck finding him a new home -- I don't think I could let that sweet face go anywhere!
