Hi Sue, glad to hear that you made it home safely. Sorry to hear that you had to cut your vacation short, but I do hope that the pump works well for your nephew. Can't wait to see all of your pictures. I love seeing all of those gorgeous dogs and people. Glad to see so many new people made it (Kaige, Marta etc.).
Phred mentions in post #440 that he found your chair. I think you are just going to have to go to the next Findlay meet to get it (just kidding ).

There's no kidding about it, I will be at another Findlay meeting. Not sure if I can make the next one or the one after that but I will at least be there again for next years big bash!!

If anyone can use it go right ahead. No sense in it collecting dust for a year. lol It was only $12 at walmart anyways.

Well the 340something pics are from the entire vacation, but I think I have at least 150 or so of the PT meeting & the night before with pat, sherman, starr & jojoe.
And yes, helping any kid in any way is always better than anything!
Forgot to mention that they have been on the waiting list for a pump for over a year. Kids are not supposed to have it till they have diabetes for at least 4 years OR until they are 4 years of age but since he has so much trouble with it they allowed him earlier.

Here's my album, don't have time to post any pics till next week (still have dial up at home, verizons been promising DSL for a couple months now )

(except the first pic of Indy, that one was transfered to the Ohio album by mistake, and as a reminder that album is from my vacation, including PT but not limited to PT)

Glad you arrived safely, if early, back home. Somehow I think Raustyk and Nanook thought it wasn't soon enough! Give those big lugs of yours a hug for me-- and of course, to Kaige, too! (also hope things work out well for your nephew.) Whenever you do come back to Findlay, let's do dinner again!

Didn't notice that until I got back & was unpacking my van. lol

I had to come home from vacation a few days earlier than I wanted as my nephew is getting the pump inserted today. It's a pager sized machine that is hooked to his side 24/7 and tests his insulin every minute. Still very far from a cure but it does eliminate a TON of finger pricks! I'm so happy for them. That is much more important than a vacation!

Hopefully I can at least get my pics loaded today into an album somewhere for yous to look at.
Boy oh boy do I have a lof of pics, I have well over 300 from my vacation, at least 125 of them from the dog park. I also have a lot of threads to catch up on here at PT.
Aren't the pumps amazing? We recently had a client spend a week in our lab testing a new pump, very similar to what is now available, but even smaller and thinner. We were doing a study to be sure the tubing they were using is compatible with the insulin. We will be discussing results with them on Monday.

Glad to hear you made it home safe! Spot sure loved playing with Kaige, and that Indy girl really should have come home with me
