Mike and I are doing another transport on Sunday (and one tomorrow if the woman doesn't weenie out if we get freezing rain) going from South Bend to Angola (which is about an hour and half drive (but 2 hours to get there) and then an hour home, so I don't know how much we can watch, but, we can at least listen.

    Good luck all!!!

My worst fears have been confirmed. We are supposed to be in South Bend at 3:30 and then it's an hour and a half to Angola and then an hour home.....do the math....I guess we're not going to see the Indy game. oh well....the radio works, although Mike bought a little 5 inch b&w tv for the car, so we'll see if we can get reception.

Mugsy, I feel your pain!!! Tomorrow's games are the culmination of an entire season's work and fanatical following. I do hope you will be able to at least hear the broadcast. Take care on the road and good luck.

I'm pulling for Indy because I really want to see them win.
I'm hoping Carolina beats Philly as I just want to see the Eagles LOSE.

Today's games are rematches of week 13! How weird is that?

Donatell got fired! A defensive coordinator who can't stop a team on 4th and 26!? 'Nuff said. Go Carolina and New England!

Well, the one sure way to get your wish is for me to root for the other teams (which I am! lol), so you should be safe!!

As to hearing it, I guess we're taking the TV so we should be able to watch it too, even though I'm sure the picture will suck! lol Next thing you know Mike will find a small plasma tv and stick it to the dash and find a way to have remote cable access so the picture is clear!! lol

Black and white TV picture with snow?
That's about what we are seeing now. There is so much real snow, our TV picture is almost black and white. A blowout, too.

Well, I was actually rather pleasently surprised. The picture wasn't bad for most of the trip. We only missed seeing about 5 minutes of the game.

Mike was disappointed, I was happy.

Lacy the abused Sharpei slept through the whole thing!

    Now...on to the NFC game.....

I like the readers' poll on the NFL web site:

It's fourth down with 26 yards to go. Which of these quarterbacks would you most want to make the play?
    Tom Brady
    Jake Delhomme
    Peyton Manning
    Donovan McNabb

It's what down? I know what a yard is Quarterback - where's the rest of his back? Making a play - oooooh, rude!

    Better read those rules again

    lol...

Two guys from a small town go to their first ever football game...

when they return the folks from the neighborhood asked them how they liked it.....

Guy #1 says, "It was o.k......a bit confusing....."

Guy #2 says,"It seemed like an awful lot of trouble for 25 cents..."

    The neighbors asked him 'WHY?'

Guy #2's answer was..."everyone kept yelling GET THE QUARTER BACK....."

    ------------------------------------------------------

A yard is about one meter.

a team has four chances to go 10 yards.

(that distance is measured on the side of the field with two
sticks held up with a 10 yard chain in between, those sticks are moved to when the ball stops after the team gets past the
    farthest stick

If you get ten more yards you get four more chances to move.

If you run out of chances, usually you kick the ball to the other team....OR you can kick the ball between the uprights...(Like a kick for points in Aussie FB...

The Eagles were on their 4th chance and needed about 26 meters
    to get four more chances.

Instead of kicking they took a chance and their QB threw the ball
to a player and he ran for those 26 yards to get four more chances.

Next we will try Nuclear Fission.

Time for Monday morning quarterback? Don't you love that Brett Favre commercial? (I wouldda double-bagged it)

I sure wouldn't have guessed that Carolina would be in SB38, but it is great! Always bet on underdogs so you don't have to cover the spread...

All in all, a great post-season! Now, let the Superbowl hype begin. Any predictions?

Well, I actually hope that New England wins. I like Brady. I have just never really gotten into either Carolina or Jacksonville, so have really never paid attention to them.

Neither game was terribly spectacular yesterday....too sloppy for my taste.

I just hope the Super Bowl is a good game....not the yawners of the past!!

There's my Monday Morning Quarterbacking editorial......lol

I have to agree with Molly. I too will be cheering for New England.

I slept through the last football game yesterday. I hope I make it through the super bowl game..lol...only because I like to see what new commercials they have come up with. I chuckled at a few of them yesterday.

I don't really know anything about either team. Hoever, I do like rooting for underdogs and keeping with the PT spirit it seems appropriate to root for the big kitty.

    Go Carolina!

I have never been a Panthers fan, other than the first year when they played in Clemson's stadium, although I live a mere 80 miles from Charlotte. I've always tried to be a Falcons fan, instead. But I found myself rooting them on yesterday, and will continue to do so on Feb. 1!!!
