    No,

    I'm not ignoring anyone!

When I check the threads I look at who posted last....So, when I check again, I miss the people in between!!!

Thursdays has grown into something that I never thought it would. This past week's party was the best attended, viewed since we started to do it and I am afraid that the number of posts will make it tough for people to keep up!!!!

It's everyone's contributions that make it what it has become-but even I have a hard time keeping up with orders, food and fun!!!!

You all have made it so you don't need me to dispense "good spirits"

Part of the charm of the place is the interaction we have here and
I love that everyone finds it a a fun place to post-

But we are having some growing pains!!!

I barely have anytime to prepare for the Drink of the Day and think up of Theme days!! The Holidays are pretty easy to prepare for- but I am kinda bothered that I still don't know how the Lost and Found got it's start..

I suspect that it WAS SADDAM HUSSEIN in there stinking the place up........And heaven help you all if he WAS in there and no one was able to find that out.....

As the 'ringleader' of the thread, and, before I forget- special thanks to Karen and Paul for letting the madness go on-I think that a smaller Thursday's thread for the next few weeks would be in order!!!

It bothers me that I can't "serve" everyone with a reply!!!

I'd love to do this 24/7 - but I can't sleep with the light of the monitor in my eyes

    Thanks everyone!

I don't know Dogz about drinking hard stuff, but I think I was eating hard stuff, crunch, crunch, those are the pits you know.

I think I want something without lumps or pits, thinks so?

Thank You, kittycats_delight for my new siggy!!!

Well, Richard, that is what happens when you open up a place and it is a huge success.

The word goes out and pretty soon you can't keep up with the drink orders.

Then everyone starts complaining that the service is lousy - the bartender doesn't know your name - and there is a very odd odor coming from the back room called the Lost and Found.

Yes, the Lost and Found looks just about like what you have recently seen on television - another one of Sadaam's palaces.

No one thinks that you just might have a life outside of Thursdays and you would like to have maybe a few days to yourself.

Alright - I can wait until next Thursday and be good and sober until then. Is Santa going to arrive next Thursday? How can I be good for three days in hopes of making up for a whole year?

Guess I will have to wait until next Thursday to find out if it worked.

    DON'T APOLOGIZE!!

    Actually I'm glad it's a 'cyber bar'..

I'd be losing money on free drinks and the health department would be on my heels for that Lost and Found!
We have probably run afoul of the 'blue laws' in most states and god knows what the neighbors thing about the dancing-on-the-bar racket after 10pm!!

All that and the gambling income that crazy pool table has generated!!!

    Thanks for your understanding!!!

Gosh, I spend a couple days recovering from digging out of the snow and look at you all! All depressed and stuff!

I think we need to hire someone with a whip and chair to check out the lost and found... it growled at me! I hope whatever is in there doesn't eat Santa! We would all get coal in our stockings forever!

By the way, Richard. I think the lost and found thing got started when I was looking for my sense of humor and someone (slick?) told me to check the lost and found. I said I would rather leave it there because I had heard rumors about that place. Off we went ...

momoffuzzyfaces, how funny, I really don't think you have to worry about where your sense of humor is, you still have it, so it is not in there.

So what was growling in there??????

Thank You, kittycats_delight for my new siggy!!!

A piece of trivia: the first Thursday thread was created May 14, 2003 and had 93 responses and look what it has grown into.
Very well put Richard. I'm done with this thread for good. See you all next Thursday.

Edit: I just have to add that Thursday's used to be very special because the bar opened and closed on the same day. When work got stressful I just had to close my eyes and say "3 more day's til Thursday". But now that it's open all week, it takes away the splendor. I admit to being an "instigator" and keeping it alive but from now on I'll keep that in check. Sorry Richard.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Here, here! I came back and found 20-odd pages of unread posts. I sure missed a LOT of cheer! Hope you all had a great time and see you Thursday
