New York!!! I love New York!
I lived in upstate New York until I was 13 and part of me really misses it there. I'd never live in New York City, I'm not at all a city girl. I love it upstate though. People always seem to think of New York state as New York City, but The whole state isn't one big city after another. My family (extended family, not my parents) owns a big dairy farm in New York. I had hardly been to a city until I moved down here to Florida.
When people say a "New York accent" they are usually referring to people who talk like Joe Pesci. However not all people who are from New York state speak with a "New York accent", it depends on where in NY they're from.

Well, if we are talking about the entire state of New York, I would say definitely New York. If we are talking about NYC then I say California. I am NOT a city person in any way, shape or form! I enjoy the change of climates and have grown up on the east coast and like it here.
If I could move anywhere I would go further south, but still be close to the Atlantic ocean. So, I guess that leaves both New York and California out.![]()
I made the mistake and said cali
But i would rather be in NY cause they have so many thing's for pets that i would be in heaven as well as my dogs would be..
I am not too sure. I would want to live in New York because of the cold weather and the wider variety of things to do. I am tired of living in a small city with insanly hot weather all year round. but i would want to live in california because it seems more not-so-big-city-ish, meaning there are some really cool things to do dealing with nature etc.
I will have to stay undecided![]()

Just to let everyone know in northern/central california we definetely have 4 seasons. I don't particular care for the summers though, it gets up to 110 in the summer and can freeze/snow in the winter.
don't breed or buy while shelter dogs die....

Interesting thread. I'm a transplant to California. I'm originally from Indiana, so I can say the thing I love about where I live now(northern CA) is definitely the weather and things to do. I can never use the excuse "there's nothing to do", because I can go to the ocean whenever I want, go to wine country, go to dog parks, visit historical sites (Hearst Castle anyone?), and the list goes on. I also love the diversity. I've been introduced to so many new and wonderful ethnicities/religions/foods out here...it's great!
When I first moved here, I really did miss the four seasons of Indiana at first, but now that I've lived here for several years, I have noticed the 4 seasons more than I used to. I'm not a big city person, so NYC would be out, but I bet upstate New York is beautiful. I don't much care for really hot weather, so southern cal is fun to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. Northern CA is definitely for me!
**hugs**
New York all the way, i love the city life. although a summer (or whatever season) house in california.
