The temp dropped 30 degrees F (!) in 24 hours, so I think I could use a hot cocoa with some Rumplemintz and whipped cream, please!

A good time was had by all, and most of the rest of San Francisco too. With this clear, warm weather, the sounds from the concert carried all over the City. Many were complaining, I know I would have just sat back and enjoyed it.

David, sorry about your cracked head, er, um I mean old blue's cracked head. Car payments suck.

A nice iced tea sounds good right about now.
Redhedd, is it me or is it Murphy's law that says "a cracked head happens just after you pay a car off" Ths is TWICE this happened to me!

AGH! That's painful! I did the same thing as you with my last older car, poured $$ into her to try and get a few more months of life out of her, but all for naught. A few months later it was time to send her to the glue factory. RIP and play hard at the RB, Old Blue.

Thought I would drop by for a quick drinkie poo..............and one of those cheese sandwiches sounds great!

The electrician has been here for two days and has added a whole bunch of very ugly stuff to my house and it sticks out of the roof...............
but he says this is what I need if I am adding air conditioning.

I am getting real tired of people at my house all day long. Locked Rascal in a room so he couldn't make a break for it and the little bugger broke down the door - or found a way to get it open. But we had a little talk and he didn't escape.

    I'll be back later!

    Okay, now for dessert......

Brownies with marshmallows and a nice big pot of Irish Coffee.

David, when my wife and I were going out, she had a ford escort. I put a new engine into the car, straightened the unibody (twice) and various and sundry other repairs. I was also maintaining a car (also and escort) for her friend, I wound up putting a head on that, and a few other things as well. The running joke with my friends was that I should start "Fred's escort service".

While driving my wife's car one day, I felt the tranny starting to go. I turned to Jen and told her "I'm not going to give this thing CPR any more, it's done". All Jen and her friends could picture was me giving mouth to mouth to an escort by blowing in the tailpipe!

Well, the end of my work day.....NOT! I've got a couple more hours to go and feeling rather peckish and got a powerful thirst as well. I think I'll munch on some nachos and grab a DOTD to see me through. I see that Richard has not made an appearance today....he must be really sick, poor guy.

Gini, first you get dried up, then wired up. ...and now you've got those thingys sticking out of your roof. I can just hear it now.....

"Ah yes this is your captain speaking. If you take a look outside the left of the plane you can clearly see the structure that marks the site of the infamous yearly Pet Talk BBQ! For those of you attending this year, the special compartment will open in 5 min. Please have your parachutes ready!"

Hey Laurie girly...glad to see you are "hooked up" again. Welcome back! OK, I'm off to get some work done....I really, really want to get home before 8pm tonight. Isn't it Survivor night??

I can answer's that one. Not to the Rainbow Bridge, David. All really good cars retire to Grandpa's woods (or Uncle Buster's) to slowly and gracefully rust back into the earth from which they came.

The rest go to that great big junkyard in the sky!

    Right, Lady? Or Lady's Human?

Absolutely. Thankfully there's not a RB for cars, otherwise there would be one very upset pontiac grand am waiting for me.

Sneaker's woods are the newest version of Buster's rustyard....LOL. Everything back there from model A's to a Gradall excavator.

Good morning everyone! I've brought in some more firewood....applewood for you Laurie....and the coffee is on. For the first time this year, I can actually say that it feels like winter up here. It's foggy and there is a chill in the air that screams out....PUT UP THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS! That's exactly what I'm going to do this weekend. Then I'm going to curl up by the fire with the furballs and relax. Maybe rent a movie.

LH that Ginger Brandy smells heavenly...I'll have some later on. It's a bit too early for me yet.

Richard, I sure hope you are feeling better today. Catland...where is Catland? She hasn't checked in yet.
