Prayer request for a missing person

Oh my gosh! How terrible.... Very, very sad.

There is no way to keep the rumors from Dad (very small town) and I see in today's newspaper they are calling it an apparent suicide so I just finished talking to him on the phone and explaining it to him. I'm relieved that he feels better knowing that there isn't a murderer on the loose but I know as it sinks in he will have a very hard time dealing with the truth.

My Dad lives about 35 miles from me and we have someone who helps me care for him plus a church member who takes him to church every Sunday. He took Dad today and they a prayer service and several guest speakers. Dad said there were lots of media there.

I'm really surprised at how well Dad is taking the news. I think the not knowing where Bob was and what happened was much harder on him. Dad lives in the same county, Roane, where the prisoner and his wife shot the jailer and escaped on Tuesday. My dad just keeps saying two good men taken, what's the world coming to. That community has been through the wringer this past week.

I am so very sorry to hear what has happened to Pastor Bob. Please keep us updated on whether it was a suicide or not. I was having good thoughts that he would be found, I just didn't know that it would be like that.

I hope your dad will be able to accept this. It sounds like he is taking it better than expected. My heart aches for his children who found him. I am sure there are so many questions now and people are just tearing themselves up trying to sort through it all asking "why?" (((hugs)))
