Hi everyone - I think we have a bit of confusion because there is this thread which is a replacement for the regular Thursdays and then there is the BBQ Thread under the Meetings Forum.

Richard and Slick are in my living room just howling.

Slick is here.............
Tonya/Zip gets in tomorrow morning
Laurie gets in tomorrow afternoon
Mystery guest arrives tomorrow too.

We will let you know how the slushies "test"............or if they need an adjustment.

I think that Sara should get a special dispensation for coming into the DH for a few days?

It is a special occasion and she knows a nice hat when she sees it!

Well after all Richard, she (Sara) does live with the fashion mavon Ms. Edwina... she knows a nice hat when she sees one

By the way, I did have a BBQ dream last night but I was stranded at the airport until I heard Richard singing "I'm a little tea pot..." but you weren't wearing a hat in my dream dear...

By the way, I am off with a rather sucky start. The semi-new for us car is dead (new alternator thingy needed) so now I have to call a cab to take me to the airport... there goes $50. bummer. Leaving in about 1 hour but need to stop at an ATM first I guess. grrrrr

I would much rather spend $50 on ice or food or toilet paper

See you guys later today at some point. I'm still expecting to go the the arrival gate or baggage gate to meet "mystery guest" (assuming my and That Person's flights are on time). I will be wearing my PetTalker visor so I shouldn't be hard to spot

I didn't roll my eyes into my head.....I was having a drink and it was sooooo good I almost fainted.

Trust me, It's a special occasion - I have no politics when it comes to friends, parties, food and a few drinks.

I did invite ARRH NOLD to the bash....But those Wacky Ralph Nader folks do make me nervous....

And speaking of nervous...

I did lock the keys in my car yesterday and Gini was kind enough to drive me over to work so I could get the spare.....I think THAT will be all the drama for the weekend.

Darn I wish I could make the trip. Well hopefully NEXT YEAR I can take my little blue beast for an extended road trip!
