I wouldn't think your dogs could get much if they are up on their vaccinations. They should probably be fine especially since they are already near her on walks.
She only has one pup left I believe. She's got a bunch of cats and kittens, but I can only do so much I just hope she lets me have Jolly, although I'm sure I can bribe her with a bit of cash (we'll have to borrow the cash from friends or family until I get my first paycheck tho )

Gp Leslie! Go Leslie! Jolly sounds like such an absolute sweetheart, and like a girl who deserves a GREAT home. And Aly and Micki - Texan DogAngels extraordinaire! - thank you so much, and Pit Chick ... we'll have our fingers crossed (figuratively only of course, I type badly enough as is) that everything can work out!

It doesn't sound like this woman can really afford another mouth to feed under the circumstances. I am hoping she realizes that and will let you have Jolly. I think KayAnn is probably right. If Graham and Kersey are UTD on shots, etc. they should be safe until you find a new home for Jolly. Hope to see pics soon.

Leslie, is there anymore updates on this sweet angel?

I wish I could afford to send you some money to help out but unfortunately at the moment I can't.

    Hey Leslie,

I'm still trying like crazy to come up with an option for her. I was SO close to asking the vet who owns the clinic where I work if I could board her for a little bit while I take care of her health and find her a home. The very day I was going to ask him, another doctor brought 3 older puppies to the clinic to be put up for adoption. The puppies started driving him crazy and I knew he would've said no had I asked him right then. It still could be an option though. I'm desperately trying to find these pups at work a home so that there can be space open at the clinic again.

I would foster Jolly myself, but I don't even have a home right now. I'm staying with my boyfriend for a little bit and I've already overwhelmed him with my current animals and fosters Jolly is constantly on my mind though and I'm contacting every person I know who might be able to foster or give me other contacts.

Her puppies are in my prayers, as well as all the other unfortunate animals that belong to your neighbors

I think it would also be safe enough to bring Jolly home if all of your dogs are current on their vaccinations. Like Kfamr pointed out, they've already been "exposed" to Jolly and anything she may have just going on walks with you. We bring in strays all the time and have no idea what they do or don't have. While we don't immediately let them have direct contact with the other dogs, they are still in the same house and we haven't had any problems.

She's giving me Jolly!!! Ok, I can hold on to her for a day or two, but I can't keep her long. I really can't keep her in my house while I'm at work, and I don't have any sturdy crates. I'll keep her in my backyard while I'm at work if need be.

Micki and Aly, any news yet? Can we plan on this weekend on the transfer? Is it a good time? I'm not sure when they're giving me Jolly, but she said she'll give me her. She also has one pup who may not have a home. I told her I'd rehome it if she wanted...I told her I work with a few rescue groups, so she may have a pup come with her, but right now I'm focusing on Jolly. She's a good girl and she deserves a better life.

Micki and Aly, I started work today, my schedule for this and next week is 10am-7PM, so we'd have to work out a weekend transport.

I'm so greatful that I can get Jolly into the home she deserves. She's such a sweet little girl.

Give my cell a call if you want, Aly or Micki, and tell me when we can plan the transfer if I'm not around PT. Thank you both so much, I hope you are still able to help out, please let me know if you aren't. I dont' have the finances for 3 dogs now, and when we do have the finances, we're getting a puppy together, so I really can't keep little Jolly.

Leslie, that's wonderful news! Hopefully something can be planned ASAP for Jolly (and the possible 1 pup)

Aly? Micki? Is it still possible? Let me know asap please. I'm waiting to get Jolly until I hear from either or both of you. I don't want to get her and then find out you are unable to help out.

    Thanks

Leslie, do you have Jolly now? I can't believe she will give her to you. That makes things a whole lot easier. I will stay tuned to see if Aly or Micki can help. Any chance we could see a picture of Jolly? Fingers are crossed for finding the perfect home for her.

No, I've been trying to find out if Micki and Aly are still able to help out. I'm not taking her until I find out. I really don't want 3 dogs and I just don't have the funds to take her to the vet to get dewormed and whatever else she needs. Hoping to hear from either or both of Micki or Aly...

P.S., I will donate 1 month of heartworm med if needed and I'll put frontline on her when I get her, so any fleas she has will be killed by the time she is ready to travel. I also got a donated 40 pound bag of dog food for her. So she'll have enough food for at least a couple weeks

I've been trying to contact both Micki and Aly through AIM the past few days but I haven't gotten any reply. I hope they are just busy at the moment and can't get back to me.

{{HUGS}} Leslie.. I hope everything works out for you and Jolly.

I'm going to start looking for options to help Jolly. If anyone here is able to help in any way please let me know. I am not sure if they will give me Jolly anymore, since it's been awhile since they told me I could have her. I think her owner may have wanted me to take her soon, so I'm not sure if I can still have her. I just wanted to make one more plea for help from PT folks. I'm trying to get threw to some rescue organizations near me but thus far I can't find anyone that has room for a foster dog.

I think Aly and Micki must be really busy, or maybe they aren't able to do anything at this time, I am not going to ask again on this forum for help for Jolly. I am beating this situation to death and I don't want to be pestering you all.

This is my last plea for help. If you have any suggestions at all, please post them. If you might be able to help, please speak up. If you can find another forum to cross-post this request for help, please do so.

    Thanks
