    Laura and Alexa,

    I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet Dewey. Thank you for letting him know what love was in the short time that you had him.

    Rest In Peace, Dewey.

    At least he had 2 weeks of undying devotion from you both.

    {{{hugs}}} and play happily at the RB sweetheart.

    I want to thank everyone who responded.

    I thought I was doing well, but then today I got a call from the clinic that his ashes are ready to be picked up and I started crying again. I still haven't gone to get them. I really wish Alexa were able to go with me, but she is out of the country for the next month. Tomorrow is my day off, I think I will go then. When Alexa gets back we will take him to Mt Lemmon and spread his ashes.

    Laura, I'm sorry I haven't seen this. I haven't been able to keep up much at all lately for various reasons. I had no idea this had happened. Please accept my deepest sympathies. I know how hard it is to pick up the ashes, but for me I also felt some comfort in that they were back with me and I could have their memorials near me.

    Play free at the bridge sweet Dewey.

    I went to check the mail the other day and there was Dewey's licence tag sitting in the mailbox. It made me sad to see it, he wasn't even with us long enough to get his license. I attactched the tag to his old collar, at least it's something else to remember him by.

    Alexa gets back from Europe tomorrow and we'll pick a day to go spread his ashes.

    What a sad moment for you. {{{HUGS}}}

    I adopted a small pup (before Buddy) & he died least than eight
    weeks after I brought him home. He was a Spring Spaniel type
    pup who I named Charlie. It doesn't take long to lose your heart
    to a puppy, and the heart can break at their loss.

    Awww, how sad. RIP Dewey. He may have left you in body, but not in spirit.

    I just saw this. That is sad, the same thing happened to me with my dog, Sandy. I got his tag about a week after he died. I put it on a necklace and hung it over a photo of him. I'm sorry.
