Dearest Laura, We're all still saying prayers that Eddie will get through this with relative comfort, and that you can be strong through it all. Burn victims have come a long way in the fact that their own skin can be grown for grafting now, something that wasn't available too long ago. I'm sure the constant bandage changing must be awful, but GOD's looking out for Eddie and your entire family. And PTers are praying for his recovery, and no more setbacks. Thanks for the update, and hang in there my dear friend. ((HUGS)) Jan

Still thinking of you, Laura . . . and praying for your son . . . sounds like it's going to be a rough road ahead.

    Hang in there, Laura!

I think the doctors are right, Laura. Right now he is in the best hands possible and there's not much you can do but be there. However, he and is family are going to need your help further down the road as he's recovering and re-learning how to do things and everyone will be learning how to live again since their lives have changed so dramatically.

Still thinking about you and your family and praying his recovery continues to go so well.

    Greetings from Virginia

    Dear Laura,
I just read your latest update on Eddie, one day at a time. One of my co-workers was seriously burned in a house fire a year ago and she was in a medically induced coma. We were told the doctors did it to keep her from moving around so that the healing process could start. It's a blessing that Eddie doesn't feel the pain now. A lot lies ahead for all of you and at times will probably be unbearable. It's so hard to find the words to express how terrible I feel about this tragedy and I wish I knew how to make all of this go away. Perhaps many others, like myself, feel totally helpless; what to say, what to do for all of you. Laura, take care of yourself. Even though you may be completely overwhelmed, get your rest, be sure to eat and if you need to vent or scream or cry, come to us. Your PT family is here for you. My thoughts and prayers remain with you! God bless.....

We had a very happy dance day.. They let Eddie come up from the coma some today..a "medication vacation" and he opened his eyes some. I did not see the BIG BROWNS I have been wanting to see but I saw brown! He is in surgery right now.

His wife regina asked that I request committments for LONG TERM prayers. She is so afraid that in a month or two, people will forget and he will need those prayers just as bad then as he does now so for all of you who wishes you could do more... that is what you can do. Keep him on all those lists for one to two years and on your own list.

    Greetings from Virginia

    Hi, Laura!
Eddie is a prayer concern at my church to stay. I assure you, he will not be taken off of Bethany's concern list at any time for any reason. Once he's healed, completely recovered, and back to being your Eddie again, prayers of thanks will continue to be offered. You, Rie, and Regina are on that list too. And, like Eddie, will remain for as long as it takes. Eddie WILL NOT be forgotten. Please know I'm with you for as long as this may take. Lots of prayers, thoughts, and love coming straight at all of you. Update us as you can.....

Eddie will be in my prayers for as long as he needs them and so will the ENTIRE family! I believe strongly in prayer as I know I was saved by it many times.

God bless you and your family in this difficult time

Laura, sorry I missed this. You have my longterm prayers also. I will keep praying that Eddie will regain his health soon.

I hope you are taking care of yourself also. I know you are going through a lot too. Please know that I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
