    I can’t stop thinking about your gorgeous Skye! My love for blue eyes and odd colors has driven me to want to get dogs for more of just pets that show dogs. I was looking, but I couldn’t find any other pictures of blue eyed blues. Where did you get her? Do they have a website? I was also wondering, are you going to spay her?

    All blue danes have blue eyes when they are born. They last for a few months and then change to the color you probably found when searching...a greenish-brown color. Just like babies eyes are blue when they are first born...the same thing with puppies! Just takes a little longer for blue's eyes to turn their intended color. There are cases when the blue danes will keep their blue eye color, but it isn't very often. I have my fingers crossed she is one of them, but I can see them changing every day.

    She is going to be spayed. The breeder said that she was breeding quality and would have liked to breed her, but they were unsure if her tail break was actually a break, or a congenital thing...so we're not taking any chances.
