    I sure hope that this sweet looking pup becomes yours. Also hoping his 'so called' owners don't show up looking at this point! They certainly don't deserve to have him, or any other animal IMO! He sounds un-socialized, neglected, and in need of a wonderful new home where he can come out of his shell and blossom. He is adorable! I wonder what breeds he is...looks part G.S...but what part the brindle is is anyones guess.

    The first pic makes him look like a coyote in the face.

    Border Collie/Collie/Shepherd?

    The coloring is what is so distracting. There's so many breeds that can have brindle coloring. We have a couple of ACD mixes in our program that are brindle, but I've never seen a brindle Heeler and it's hard to say what they are mixed with that could have caused the brindle coat.

    Mahon probably has Chow in him, but his mom is a Heeler mix and they look just alike, except both of mom's ears stand up and her tail doesn't curl over her back.

    wow, he is gorgeous! I really hope you get him, or some one else will save him! I wonder who dumped him/let him go in the first place.. poor baby!

    how awesome of you to take him in out of the cold! If you do get him, I'm sure having Tasha and Bud there will help him out of his shell a lot! Crate training and love and patience and plenty of TLC will probably make him the perfect house doggy

    Very sorry to have left everyone in the dark, I had to go out of town unexpetedly and by the time I got home today, the SPCA was already closed. I am going down tomorrow morning and will let you all know what happens. Thanks for all the replies and well-wishes!

    OMGosh by the end of this thread, I was sitting at the edge of my chair holding my breath to see if you had gotten him yet. Now I'll be checking back here every hour until I know! .     Me too, me too! I don't get to read too many threads and when I happened to open this one, I could feel my adreneline rising. I literally had to force myself not to skip to the end of the thread to find out the outcome and now that I got here, it is one of those ...to be continued.

    Steve, I am so impressed with how thoughtful you have been in this undertaking. Also I am appreciative of how you have shared your concerns and apprehensions along with your inclination to do this good deed. It has been like we were with you when all this occurred. I do hope you are able to include us in on the rest of the story.

    Anybody else trying to think of suggestions for a name? He looks like a *Trevor* to me.
