PLease don't slam a whole nation for something certainly not every person is guilty of!!! It is a very unfair thing to do!

There are many people here that do indeed love their pets and are advocates of better treatment for all animals....Huacao is one of them and many of his friends too! Look back at his previous posts if you havent seen them.

There are many cruel people and puppy mills galore in the USA as you well know but I am sure you would not like others to think that all Americans were cruel to animals. Please help to support the efforts of those who trying very hard to make things better in far less easy circumstances than if they were in the USA where at least the government does not condone or carry out acts of cruelty and brutality to animals. Those of us who DO care are trying to help and educate those who know no better as yet and it would be better to give at least kind thoughts and support rather than condemnation overall!

I completely agree with you. It simply isn't fair to blame an entire country for something that isn't everyones fault. I am sure there are many pet lovers in China. It's like that here in the US too..some people are animal lovers, and some are abusive and such toward animals. It's just a horrible situation that you have to deal with over there, all those poor doggies. i applaud you though for trying to get the issue out there for all of us to see. Keep it up!

How horrible! My heart breaks for these animals and for the poor people who can't keep them because of the outrageous license fees. They're basically making it impossible for any normal person to keep a pet! Heck, I don't even think I could afford license fees that expensive!
I wish there was something we could do to help these poor animals and the people in China that want to keep pets

This kind of treatment towards animals just makes me so angry. It goes on everyday all over the world. I have seen so much neglect and abuse both in my area as well as on tv. I'm sure that miliions of animals are living like this and nobody knows or cares. Some people should never have any contact with animals at all, anywhere, including so called shelters. How can anyone look at those sad faces and begging eyes and not just want to help them. I will never understand some humans, I use the term loosely. I only pray that one day nobody will ever hear of or see another animal living like this.. I wish I could rescue every animal in those pics and all the other animals in need of food, love, medical attention and a warm, dry place to share their lives and bring smiles to a good, forever family.

Sorry Delidog I know everyone's so angry about these pictures - I haven't looked - they sound disgusting. I can imagine them - this is a country who did the same thing to baby girls - they left them without food and heat until they died. The Chinese government has denied this - but here in the UK we haved seen video pictures that were taken and smuggled out.

But please don't make the mistake in thinking Chinese people are uneducated, underdeveloped and stupid - they are most definately not. This country will be a World Power in 10 or so years. Their building and manufacturing programme is growing like no other.
