OH!! Pam! Long time ago - maybe mid 80's? - I got to see the two of them together in concert and it was fantastic!! I believe the tour was called "Outlaw and the the Lady". Their duets are sooooo good!!! She still can giggle like a little girl and I still love to hear her sing She was on CMT the other night and had ME giggling when she said "it takes a lot of money to look this cheap!"
Coming home tonight - Keith Urban was on the radio with his new one "You'll Think of Me" - I love that one and the line "take your cat and leave my sweater" - love the sound of his voice.

I'm a techno/rap DJ...by all logic I should barf when I hear anything resembling country...

    But I don't

When I was growing up my dad always listend to George Jones and Merle Haggard and Conway Twitty and all those old dinosaur country people ugh. Mom listend to the newer stuff, thats where I started to like Reba and the Judds *saw them in concert for the reunion tour, really cool!* and Allen Jackson, and Garth Brooks *I LOVE Garth Brooks*. I saw Vince Gill in concert once too, he was pretty awesome. I agree that Kid Rock should drop the whole punk rap rock act *rap rock is dead people, let it go* and use his talent for what it is. I also like the country/Christan crossover stuff...it is so uplifting! At first I was like "Ugh, feel good fluff bunny garbage" and mom INSISTED I sit and watch the Gathers on PBS and I actually took a liking to it. Yeah yeah, Im younger than 40 and I admit I like the Gathers.

I agree!!! I am a big fan of kid rock lol, own 3-4 albums , and I do enjoy the slower, more meaningful songs, he seems to sing alot better then when he....uh...whatever he wants to call it(wouldnt call it singing) better than the ones with all the screaming and annoying-ness

I like some country, like Faith Hill, and Sheryl Crow too, and occasionally some other stuff.

    RIP Jasper. I can't believe you're gone.

Oh wow, where do I start? I LOVE COUNTRY MUSIC. I drive my family and friends crazy though because every time a song comes on I name the singer and the title of the song before the DJ says it. I always ask everyone who it is too. I like the new country a lot too. I don't really like Julie Roberts though. I love Reba McEntire ( she doesn't sing as much anymore since her show "Reba", but she just put out " Somebody") I really like Loretta Lynn too. I really miss Garth Brooks. His songs could get to ya. Especially " The Dance" . I love Dierks Bentley too.. I just ADORE his dog! Ok, I'll stop. I could talk about country music ALL DAY though.

BTW: I'm a big fan of Old Country too.. Classic Country.. EVERY KIND OF COUNTRY. Hmm.. there was something else I wanted to say, but I forgot. I guess I'll reply it later.

    LOL!

Count me in as a country fan! I do listen to other kinds of music but generally country!

I really, really love Kenny Chesney. I LOVE the sound of his voice. I wanted to see him in concert very badly this summer, but I don't think I will be able to. Hopefully he will be on tour next summer.

I also like Lonestar. I was just reading an article about them and their children today. I also bought the Keith Urban CD quite recently. I am really enjoying it!

I also like Clay Walker's "I Can't Sleep." Some parts sort of, erm, bug me, but the song overall is good!

I have to say that George Strait has some great songs. I love his new one "Desperately."

I like the song "I Got A Feeling" also. I don't remember who sings it though. It is in the back of my mind. He did a great job, whoever it was!

I could go on and on about what songs I like, so I guess I will stop here. I also like watching the videos on CMT.

I am soooo jealous! Oh I would love to see them both in concert together! I just adore Dolly! She is so funny and always makes jokes about herself. She seems so down-to-earth in every interview I've seen with her.

I'm in too! I love country music. Lets see right now...I absolutely love Kenny Chesney. Great voice and songs. He is coming here but I missed out on my chance to get tickets. I love Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Shania Twain, Dixie Chicks and Martina McBride. Wow, what a powerhouse she is! Alden and I want to see her in concert so bad. I have only been to 2 country music concerts and I have to tell you they have been my favorites. Country artists seem so much more personable and friendly. Most concerts that I have been to in the past have been rock. Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Guns n Roses (maybe I should just say Axle), Kiss, AC/DC(WOW). The more older mainstays. They all put on awesome shows and I loved them, but recently I have seen the Dixie Chicks who are just so super talented and had one heck of a show and talked with the audience a bit more and then just a few weeks ago we saw Shania and wow does she really interact with the fans. I loved that and have never seen that before. She was right out there in the crowd chatting with the fans and bring some onstage and letting them sing with her. Giving autographs during her performance and taking in the gifts that people were handing her. Alden handed her a rose and was so thrilled that she actually touched his hand...lol. She really seems to appreciate her fans. I loved it!!!

One of these days I will see Martina and Kenny!!!!

I would like to say that I listen to all kinds of music. One of my all time favorites songs is Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me To The Moon". I love to stay up to date on what younger folks are listening to also. I don't want to ever be considered old and out dated...hehehe. Its kind of hard though since there are so many artists out there now a days. I just love it all!
