This thread makes me so sad, but I am happy that poor Bob could spend his last days clean, with good food, loved and with many scritchies and purring.

He's a cute boy. Sorry. I have to cry now.

You are both wonderful people to let Bob have a real home for his last days.

He will be happy when he is able to rejoin with his owner at the bridge.

I am just so sorry, and just speechless. He looks so sweet in your lap, with your hand on him. He acts like he is safe and knows that you are going to do the right thing for him.

Again, I am so sorry, may he run free of illness at the bridge.

    Bob will remember...

He'll remember the wonderful things you did for him, the care, the snuggles, the treats...and that is what counts. He will remember that he was loved and that so many people cared about him.
The Tribe says Godspeed Bob. And thank you, Jen & Steve, for taking one more in, even if only for a few days. It made all the difference to Bob.

    The Story of The Starfish...
Once there was a man walking along a long, deserted beach on a huge ocean. There had been a storm the day before and the huge waves had washed the starfish up onto the sand. There were starfish stranded as far as he could see.
Up ahead, he found a young boy, picking up starfish and running into the waves to release them back in to the ocean.

The old man laughed at him, saying "Boy, there are millions of these starfish on the beach!. You'll never save them all! What difference can you make?"

The boy never looked up, but picked up another starfish and headed toward the waves. Then he stopped and looked into the old man's eyes. "What I'm doing will make a difference to this one.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Bob is now with my Dashiell and all others that we have lost and hopefully we will be with them again! If I am wrong about this you will let me know? I am guessing he is no longer on our plane...but on a higher? What a beautiful cat who asks for nothing more than to be cared for..you are a doll and an angel for being there for him and he will never let you down..he will oversee all your deeds and make sure every thing comes out ok! I know that and hope you can know that too.
