Richard, I'm up for something......maybe not the DOTD, but something that fits me.......(you know the routine, no coconut, no dark liquor, etc). I need that "pep me up" sort of drink that only you know how ot make.

Lots going on around here, job wise, personally, etc, but one thing we can celebrate is that Scott and I have our first anniversary on Sunday!!! And I also want to propose a toast to Tonya, with that 4.0!!!! Good job, girl!!!

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing and hoping there might just be some kind of curve involved. I looked over everything again today and there was no way I could have been prepared for the test we got. Even the study guide the teacher gave us didn't cover most of the stuff that was on the test. I sent a note off to the Prof. to let him know how disappointed I am, but that's that. Time to move on...

I'll have what Logan's having to help her celebrate the big 1! Congratulations Logan!!!

I've been waiting for this day ALL WEEK LONG!!!! I'm SO sick of customers throwing money at me for the purchases, throwing credit cards, waiting for ME to empty their carts, impatient idiots with full carts who won't let a person with one item pass first.

*sigh* I don't know. Gimme a drink!! Abolut Martini, drop of Vermouth and LOTS of olives!!!

I'm ready...the kids are making me NUTS!! Is it Friday at 2:35 yet? I will be out the door by 2:45 and celebrating my 2 weeks off. Diet Cherry Coke for me....although a Starbucks Peppermint Mocha sounds good right now...my hands are ice cubes.

And the song for the day is..........

    Everybody sing..........

    WEB ADDICTION HOLIDAY SING ALONG!

(Sung to the tune of "Winter Wonderland")

    Doorbell rings, I'm not list'nin',
From my mouth, drool is glist'nin',
    I'm happy -- although
My boss let me go --
    Happily addicted to the Web.
All night long, I sit clicking,
    Unaware time is ticking,
    There's beard on my cheek,
    Same clothes for a week,
    Happily addicted to the Web!

Friends come by; they shake me, Saying, "Yo, man!
Don't you know tonight's the senior prom?"
    With a listless shrug, I mutter "No, man;
    I just discovered laugh-a-lot-dot-com!"
    I don't phone, don't send faxes,
Don't go out, don't pay taxes,
    Who cares if someday
    They drag me away?
I'm happily addicted to the Web!

Happ-ilyyyyy, ad-dict-eeeed to the Weeeeeb!!! (Yeah!)

Edit at 12 Noon: Looks like I'm the only one here today so I guess I'll just fix myself a Painless. Maybe it will make the painful work day go away.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Early on, someone said something about fixing a drink for procrastinators. I’ve been meaning to get back in here at Dick's place all day to find out more about it but kept putting it off Nice song Slick. I'd join in but already am in trouble today for "not having my priorities straight" from my rotten boss. I took a few days off when my D-in-law was thought to have cancer but instead had half her insides taken out and is still on the IV three times a day. My dog had the nerve to die in my arms before I left for work a few weeks ago so I took off work then. Some damned 150 yr old tree had the nerve to fall across my yead onto the mini-van, block off my street, take all the poles and electric wires down in the middle of a hurricane so silly me took a day off then too. Sorry Marlene, I think MY priorities ARE straight. (it's hers I question). Sorry gang... I've been storing that up since she reamed me out first thing this morning. A few other people are off today and that seemed to set her off. I was here so got the "treatment"

I'm so selfish I didn't even say congrats to the Zipster for her marvelous accomplishment or to you Logan, for a warm, wonderful anniversary. See what stinky priorities I have

Laurie, your first priority was to come in the bar and tell us all about your day!

Now we can all sympathize and hope that the day gets better for you.

Drop by after work and sit down with us for a while. It will make you feel better and we can listen.

Logan, ONE WHOLE YEAR has gone by already...........I hope you do something fun to celebrate your first anniversary. Congratulations!

OMG - I had no idea everyone was waiting here. I took the morning off to go get my Christmas tree and am now just catching up.

lb - one double painless for you. Amazing how insensitive some people can be.

Mo-mo - one super duper cherry vanilla coke for you .

Moos - one martini - extra olives for you.

Logan - hmm - I'm a bit stumped, I'm not nearly as creative as Richard - how about a Pointsettia - they were a big hit a couple of week's ago, just ask Slick.

Mugs - one diet cherry coke for you.

T&P - I know how you feel. I once had an essay exam that required us to compare and contrast two articles from our reading assignments - but we were never assigned one of the articles! You should have seen me tap dance through that essay - I deserved an A in creative writing.

emily - its always great to be done with another term. one DOTD for you.

Zip - CONGRATS - that's a major acomplishment - something I managed a few times in high-school but never pulled off in college.

    Dogz - great sig.

    have I missed anyone?

These are not the droids you were looking for

Just so you'll know, Gini, Scott has a great "secret"' mission in his plans. We're leaving at 8:30 Saturday morning. I have been instructed to wear "comfortable" shoes, but not tennis shoes, and that I need clothes to "dress up" for Saturday evening. We will return home on Sunday evening!

What does he have up his sleeve???? The only thing I can think of that I have mentioned to him in the past, is that I have never toured Biltmore Estate, in Asheville, NC. If we are going there, I will be thrilled!! Christmas at Biltmore will be wonderful!! Of course, he may have something totally different in mind and that's ok too!!! I just am happy that he is planning a surprise for our anniversary!

Logan, you deserve whatever wonderful surprise Scott has planned!

If it is the Biltmore, please tell us all about it. I have always wanted to go there.

You will have to tell us if they have "Poinsettia" drinks

I think Slick, Laurie and I will need one of those by the end of the day!

Look, Richard is storing boxes under the pool table now. Guess we can't hide there anymore!
