Randi, I like this story much better. I read the other one but Dickens tends to be a little 'wordy' sometimes and I get lost.

This story reminds me of the tale (and even a song) about a young man who picks up a girl at a party, loans her his sweater and gives her a lift home. When he goes back to get his sweather, her father/mother says she's been dead for a year that very night. When he gets to the cemetery, there is his sweater, on her grave.

Wow, what great stories! Terry's out of town and I'm sitting here alone except for Peanut on the back of the couch, surprisingly Tubby is nowhere in site. Hmmm....wonder where he's off to. Maybe there's a ghost in the basement that he's keeping an eye on....I do here noises down there now and then that are unexplainable because no one is down there...and he does come up from the basement with spider webs on his whiskers now and then....and he really seems to be spending a lot of time down there lately... Hmmmm....wait! What was that?!!? Well, I can tell you I'm not going down to the basement to find out what it was! I've seen enough scarey movies to know better than that! I'll just have to trust that he knows what he's doing and he'll either be up when the ghost decides to be friendly or he has vanquished it from the house......right Tubby!?!?!? Richard, I think I might need one of those DOTD's here to calm my nerves now.

Actually, I've always thought it would be cool to meet up with a ghost like in Randi's second story. To know that they feel comfortable enought to show themselves to you would be kinda cool.....I think.... Or to have an experience like MOFF. Where you think something odd is going on, but you can't quite put your finger on what, then find out later it's a ghost. Oooohh, gives me the chills just thinking about it.

The company big-wigs are offsite right now so it's safe for me to sneak into the bar. Richard, a DOTD please?

Also, this Friday my company is having a bowling/halloween party. My team is the Night of the Living Dead Office Space Zombies. I'm going as the Jennifer Aniston character from the movie Office Space- I've got all the pieces except for the rest of my flair.

We are having our party tomorrow, Thursday. The theme is The Village People meet the Spice Girls. I'm going as the lovechild of Baby Spice and the Construction Worker. I'm also making the litterbox cake to bring along. That'll separate the men from the boys....

Catland any chance of pictures later?? I'll take another hot cider please. The nights are dipping down to 2 degrees for the next few days with a high of about 7. Not bad for this time of year. Halloween night will be crisp and cool, but no rain. Yeah!!
