How fantastic that an animal could have such a dedicated owner!
Not only did you put the life of your dog as a paramount concern in your life but you did your utmost to find help and treatment.

I know I am not the only one here that thinks that the final gift of love was to know, in your heart, when enough was enough.

I am in tears, my heart is with you.

    Pepper,
Just a note to let you know that you are
still in my thoughs & prayers..Grief has no
time limit, but I pray that God will bring
peace to your heart as you remember all the
happy times you spent with Bourbon...

That goes for me as well. I know that grief has a tendency to weigh heavy for a long time, but have faith that eventually it does lift and you will be able to love again.

First off, I must apologize for not reading this sooner.
My heart goes out to you, as I have recently been there myself. Cry when you need to. Someone on the board said to cry in the shower, and that is where I did it too. Remember that you gave Bourban the best time you possibly could. And he loved you unconditionally. He is now your angel and is at the bridge waiting for you, I hope Bourban and Shaianne and all the other dogs and cats the PetTalk family has lost this year are playing together.
