My diet is noodle soup and lime kool-aid lately due to severe financial problems so if I could have a lime jello thingy that would tie in beautifully. Have to ask if you could put it on my tab this week bartender, or I could stop by after work and do kitchen duty to work it off. Mood I've been in (rather Eeyore-ish) I was going to request something sour or a suffering bastard (either sounded appropo) but a lime jello thing just might work. Ended up watching Animal House in the middle of the night a few days ago. Don't want to say who reminded me of whom but if someone here starts singing some smarmy sing-a-long folk song I'll be the one who slams the guitar against the wall On a happier note, Dave Barry's column last Sunday reminded everyone that Sept. 18 was National Talk Like a Pirate Day [see www.talklikeapirate.com] so even though it's early may I suggest a pirate theme for next Thursday's party? We are going to a new computer system here so I'm in class all day yesterday & today but will try to stop by at lunch for my drink and a smile. Toga TOGAAAA

I'm late, I'm late, I'm late for a very important date! Ooops! Sorry, wrong movie.

Give me a drink of the day, good man!

I saw that Tim Matheson isn't VP anymore. He evidently didn't learn anything after Animal House; because he got caught having an affair and had to resign.

I don't look good in plain white, will a solid color toga (burgundy, navy) do?

Underwear: Boxers are a must, unless of course you want to act like a true Roman, in which case you wouldn't wear any.

It didn't say the boxers had to be white. Are prints acceptable?
If I can't wear my flowered toga, print underwear is unacceptable too. We have thunderstorms coming so I have to leave for now anyway. I'll just take my flowered self off and party with the cats. They aren't picky.

It's great we're all having a good time, but I also wanted to pause for a moment during our Toga party to reflect on the tragedy that ocurred 2 years ago today Sept. 11. May all those who died rest in peace, and may everyone who lost someone be comforted. We will never forget.

Let's all raise our glasses and toast our country! Ok, on with the Togas!!!

Bluto:What?! Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE
decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
    HELL, NO!
    Otter: Germans?
    Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
Bluto: It ain't over now! For when the goin' gets
tough,..............the tough get going! Who's with me!? LET'S GO!
    C'MON! OOOOOOOOOOOO!

Well, for a TOGA party it has been rather quiet today I guess because of the significance of the day. My glass is raised and in addition to recognizing the loss of human life, I salute all the men overseas for their country.

my glass is raised to you too. To all those who perished on 9/11 and to the friends and family who mourn them.

To those who wear the uniform and put their lives on the line so that we may have freedom.

These are not the droids you were looking for

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
