One of my friends took that picture at the newspaper office. I thought it was too cute! We go to the newspaper office here in town once a week and they have dog biscuits for August and Walter. They just have to sit for their treat!

For me it depends on the breed....BUT I love black and white pets!!
I'm a sucker for a few colors...I LOOOOVE "sandy" colors...a good example of that is Nala's color...i think it's gorgeous! I also love blue merles and pure whites...I think they're so stunning!![]()
Kai [Sheltie], Kaedyn [Sheltie], Keeva [Malinois], Kwik [Malinois]
I love Black and White dogs..
And silver tabby cats..
The red Paraketes
Blonde and white Rats
Brown Rabbits

I am a sucker for black and white, but any colour as long as it is NOT solid colour is fine with me, I dont find Labs appeling because they only come in solid colour I hate solid colour, particularly on a big dog, Ripley is solid black but he is small and cute, and I love hime to peices but my friend has 2 dogs both solid colour one big one small, I like the small one a LOT more the the large onelol I prefer medium to large dogs though, so any pattern is fine with me lol border collie pattens lol that si what I like lol

bnormal - Hope you don't mind me asking, but are your Dobes' ears cropped? Or did you rescue them with cropped ears...thanks![]()

primabella, no problem. Callihan we got from a breeder and we had his ears cropped. Mitchy we got from the Doberman Rescue of Columbus and they had his ears cropped.
It surprised me that they did this. They told me that Dobe puppies are easier to place with adopters if their ears are already cropped...kind of crazy isn't it?
However, when I think about it I realize that when I got Callihan, who was my first Dobe, I initially loved the look of the breed and that played a part in my getting his ears cropped. Now after having Callihan, Quincey and Mitchell it isn't the look I love but the dog I love. So for me cropped ears doesn't matter one way or the other. Though I don't believe it is an ethical or moral issue.

Oh okay, thanks for answering. I find the Dobe looks so ... elegant (good word?) with cropped ears, although I prefer them natural. Either way is fine as long as you still get the same doggie personality![]()
